The weather on the day was a problem with thick fog and we were told by the ship's crew that trips ashore were all held up and could even be cancelled. Four of us (two couples) just returned from an 11 day tour to Egypt. MemphisTours handled everything for us and did it wonderfully well (except for the hotels which we picked and arranged). We had an absolutely fantastic trip, from the time we arrived late in the evening in Luxor and were met by Hassan #1 until the time eleven days later that Hassan #2 helped us with our flights home from Cairo (which were a mess thanks to Lufthansa’s records.

Ok, this is awsome, arrived at Cairo at 9am and my connecting flight back would only leave Cairo al 4am the following day, so we hired Memphis tour, designed what we wanted to do and just let them take you, with their guide, their driver and their mini yes mini mini van. a little small for my husband 6ft, long legs but again it was only the two of us

Guide handed printout of tour to us(matched my printout I had) and asked if this was what we wanted and we could change anything that did not excite us

Plus they were very helpful in offering suggestions of additional things that we should see/do. Particularly, I was a bit apprehensive about the Nile Cruise at first. Overall, I really enjoyed the trip to Egypt. I am an avid traveler and have visited 51 countries now; and Egypt is definitely one of the top 5 countries I have traveled to. I will definitely recommend it. And I certainly want to return to see more!

When we booked the cruise, some two months prior to actually sailing, we had also booked a pyramid tour with your firm at the same time. Hi - I travelled to Cairo and was pre-arranging my tours from home before I arrived. I had found Memphis tours website and found their pricing competitve for their private tours. When I searched for feedback on the company on Trip Advisor I found little written and the odd complaint from a couple of folks.
I felt compelled to write this review as my wife and I were so impressed by Memphis Tours' organisation and attention to detail. We had our own Egyptologist for each day - both of whom were very knowledgable, and also so accommodating to our wishes. Our group of 52, under the banner of National Taiwan University Reunion Group (NTU Reunion Group for short), contracted Memphis Tours Egypt (Mr. Ahmed Fayez) through Memphistours.com on a shore excursion from Port Said to Cairo pyramids with a Nile River cruise and lunch on Oct. 21, 09. It was an exciting and memorable trip for us, one which turned out to be the high light of our entire journey of 13 days, cruising with Grand Princess which took us from Rome to Naples, Athens, Istanbul, Kusadasi, Mykonos, Port Said, Alexandria, and then back to Civitavecchia and Rome. My wife and I used Memphis Tours for our vacation( November 9-20 November 2009) to Egypt and Petra in Jordan. We are very seasoned travellers and must say that Memphis Tours were just fantastic.
