Memphis Tours Cairo, Egypt To Whom It May Concern: I am very pleased to write on behalf of Ahmed Sabry, a tour guide in your employ. My daughter and I took a tour to Egypt with your company August 7-17, 2010, and he was one of our assigned guides on the tour. His background in Egyptology was most impressive. I am still amazed at how anyone could remember all that information and also manage to make it fascinating! The monuments we saw were awesome. Ahmed made us feel we were walking through history at the temples and art museum in Luxor. Besides being charming and a perfect gentleman, Ahmed was also extremely resourceful. I managed to misplace my passport in Luxor and thought it was lost. Ahmed was extraordinary in the emergency. He connected me with the American consulate in Cairo, who told me it would take three days to issue a replacement. Ahmed suggested that I consider an alternative itinerary while I had this unplanned extension of my stay. Further, he took me to three different banks that had closed early on the eve of Ramadan, trying to get them to allow me to withdraw the money I would need for the duration (after my ATM account wasn't accessible). No one could have been more helpful. Finally, when I found the passport after all this, Ahmed didn't even yell at me! But he did assist me with the police to get our Nile cruise cabin boy out of jail after the police had falsely accused this young man of the theft of the passport. Your company deserves to be complimented for having such high quality tour guides in your employ. Mohammed, who took us to the bazaar in Aswan after his regular touring hours, was also outstanding. He should be commended for his extreme patience while we shopped and his assisting my daughter when she fell ill. Sincerely, Rona Sayetta, M.D.
