We apologize for not getting our comments out to you sooner. My husband has passed this to me to provide our comments.
First I must say, we were very very happy with the two main tour guides you provided us. Both were informative, friendly, and spoke excellent English. Our Cairo tour guide, Hanan, was lovely and a joy to work with.
We would be happy to use her services again and would recommend her to any American/British family visiting the area. We didn't have our kids with us on this trip, but based on our interaction with her, I think she would be particularly great for families with kids, for groups with women in them, and for groups with people who are just as interested in learning about the people of Egypt as they are about seeing the sights.
I must say that seeing the sights came second to the great time we had just talking with her during our visit and hearing about the history of some of the places we visited. We saw other groups with tour guides that didn't seem to engage with their people on a personal level and I felt sorry for them and felt very blessed to have had her instead.
As for the tour guide that met us in Luxor. She was amazing. Clearly, very experienced and knowledgeable. We could not have asked for better. She was also very pleasant to talk to and her English was excellent. Her knowledge of Egyptian history and the sights was outstanding and we would recommend her to anyone visiting Luxor. We were blessed to have had both tour guides and thank you for all your help in learning more about your great country.
Oh, I should also mention that the drivers did there jobs well (I would never drive in Cairo!) and should also be commended. There was also a young man that rode with us to Luxor (not the driver and not the main guide in Luxor). He was very friendly and pleasant, but we had a hard time communicating with him. Often we couldn't understand him and he couldn't understand us. Despite this difficulty, he did his best to serve us and provide anything we needed, and that was greatly appreciated.
Overall, we were happy with the services we received and would use your services, and particularly the two tour guides, again.
