Dear Ahmed,
I have just returned from Turkey where I had been working for the past two weeks. It has been long time since I have been home.
I want to thank you. The tour of egypt for my daughter and I was great. We enjoyed ourselves seeing the sights of your country. The staff of Memphis tours was always helpful, courteous, friendly and would go out of their way to help us on our journey. They were prompt and on time and knowledgeable.
The private guides in Cairo (I cannot remember his Name) and the one in Luxor (Salem) were very nice and explained lots of things to us. The guide in Cairo was friendly and knowledgable. I enjoyed the company of Salem. He made our visit special in his part of egypt. He had good knowledge of the sights and was able to communicate well. He answered our questions that we had. He even arranged one night in a Nubian village for us (see picture). He also shared his home and family with us which was special.
We only had one problem. The cruise ship was below your standards I believe. The food was ok but the hot food usually was not hot. Also, my daughter and I both became ill there. In fact, three other people on the Memphis tour with us also became ill. In fact, others on the boat also became ill. We did drink bottled water but I think the food made us ill. The one person who did not get ill only ate bread and rice most of the time. So I missed one morning tour and my daughter missed Ramses temple in Luxor which I really wanted her to see. In all of the traveling that I have done, this was the first time I became ill.
As I said the sights were great and the representatives and tour guides did a great job. A trip we will remember. Thank you for putting the tour together for us. I attached a couple of pictures for you.
regards,
Lonnie Guralnick
