This is a letter of appreciation. On April 4th my wife and I arrived in Alexandria aboard the cruise ship Costa Europa. When we booked the cruise, some two months prior to actually sailing, we had also booked a pyramid tour with your firm at the same time. However, we mistakenly thought Memphis Tours Company was associated with Costa Cruises, so we failed to bring aboard any paperwork regarding our pyramid tour. When we discovered the ship personnel had no knowledge or record of our planned - and paid for - tour - we became concerned, not knowing how - or who - to contact to make sure we received the tour we had paid for.
I cannot tell you how pleased and relieved we were to see your employee, Mohamed Mokhtar, standing patiently at the foot of our off ramp, displaying a sign with my wife's name on it. But that was only the beginning of our wonderful experience. Osama, our driver, showed extraordinary skill in driving under conditions that even New Yorkers can't envision! Yet we felt safe at all times.
And Maha. What a delightful, knowledgeable young lady she is! She showed patience and graciousness as we progressed through your shrines. Her speaking voice - and command of English - was heard and understood perfectly, even in noisy backgrounds.
In short, I want to thank Mohamed, Osama and Maha for their contributions to our memorable day - and to your company for the caring and pampering of your visitors and guests.
To anyone visiting Egypt, touring with Memphis Tours Company will turn their visit from merely okay into something spectacular!
Thank You,
B. K. (Rob) & Alisa Robinson Anchorage, Alaska
Hi Osama,
I must tell you, I was a professional truck driver for many years here in Alaska. I hauled heavy equipment up and down the Alaska Pipeline; delivered fuel to places where a tractor had tow me in-and out. I have driven in snow, ice and steep mountains pulling loads as wide as 14 feet and as long as 70 feet... but in spite of all my experience I would Not drive in Egypt! To have a car come hurtling towards you on the wrong side of the road- nosing into an unbroken stream of traffic at roundabouts- or blending into five lines of traffic where there are only three painted lanes on the road.. I'm too old to learn that!
But you not only handled all that- you managed to do it while we felt safe! No small achievement as my wife is a very nervous car passenger.
Anyway-enclosed is a gratuity that more accurately conveys our appreciation. Also a few photos for your scrapbook.
We wish you continued success in all you do and wherever you go.
Thank you,
B. K. (Rob) & Alisa Robinson
