Thank you very much for setting up our vacation. We had a great time and were very impressed by the excellent service provided by Memphis Tours. The transportation was perfect and we liked both of our guides. We also thought that Mustafa and Osama, both of whom took us around Cairo, were great with our children.
We were also very happy with the Alyssa cruise that you booked for us. The level of service on the cruise was excellent and we really liked the friendly and helpful people who worked on the ship.
We thought that the hotels you booked would have been very nice under normal circumstances but things were understandably running at a much lower level due to low bookings. Everything was fine at the Movenpick hotel in Cairo but the Sea Star hotel in Hurghada had turned off the pool heaters making it much too cold for swimming. They turned it on the next day but we felt like we lost the first day in Hurghada.
Overall, we were very happy with Memphis Tours and will definitely recommend it, along with the Alyssa cruise, to our friends. I actually had two people, who will probably book a trip to Egypt within the next year, ask me today who we used to set up our trip.
I had one question though. Is it normal to have an armed escort as we did in Cairo or was he there because it was a unique situation? My wife was very happy that he was there, especially since we were there with our children, but should our friends also expect to have an armed escort if they booked a trip for the fall or later?
