We arrived home a week ago and have been very busy, but I thought you might like an update of how our trip with Memphis Tours went. We had a great day, the pyramids and sphinx were out of this world and we just loved the Museum. However, perhaps you might be interested to know that our guide had his own agenda. He introduced us to 2 other destinations during the day, one to a perfume house and the other to a papyrus shop. Whilst these were a bit interesting, they did take up time we could have spent at the museum or the pyramids and he was so very obviously taking a cut of any proceeds and neither place added anything to our trip, in fact it meant we spent more time in the Cairo traffic. We did enjoy our day and should we travel to Egypt again would definately consider using Memphis Tours, I would like some assurance that we wouldn't be subject to extras we neither want nor require.
