We booked a tour with Memphis for Cairo and Luxor. There were good and bad things: Good things: - They were always on time; - Excellent guide in Luxor; - Car was very clean; - Friendly and careful staff; Bad things: - Be aware when they take you to "know" some shops. We were ripped off in Luxor in the stone shop by being charged an ridiculous price for a small piece of stone. Also, regardless the fact that we had already bought a souvenir, the merchant still wanted us to give money to the other workers and put us in a uncomfortable situation in front of everybody. Make sure you say no if they ask you if you want to visit this shop. Even though the situation was not created by a Memphis staff, we would not expect to be taken to places like this by a reputable company; - Although the itinerary provided in advance stated the tour finished at 5pm, on both days in Luxor we arrived at the hotel before 4pm.
