Our group of 52, under the banner of National Taiwan University Reunion Group (NTU Reunion Group for short), contracted Memphis Tours Egypt (Mr. Ahmed Fayez) through Memphistours.com on a shore excursion from Port Said to Cairo pyramids with a Nile River cruise and lunch on Oct. 21, 09. It was an exciting and memorable trip for us, one which turned out to be the high light of our entire journey of 13 days, cruising with Grand Princess which took us from Rome to Naples, Athens, Istanbul, Kusadasi, Mykonos, Port Said, Alexandria, and then back to Civitavecchia and Rome. The services provided by Memphis Tours Egypt (specially Ahmed Fayez) on the day trip to Cairo pyramids was exemplary. The Egyptologists who came along with our buses knowledgeable, and representatives from Memphis handled the trip professionally. For the cost of less than half of what asked by Princess, we really had our worth of sight seeing in Cairo. The lunch cruise on the Nile River was leisurely, and the food was plentiful and appetizing. There was sound and dance on board the ship, except that it was too loud for comfort, However, one could opt to go upstairs for picture taking and relaxation. If there was ever any complaint, it would have to be the lack of shopping opportunities. The trip to the papyrus paper making shop was informative and enlightening. But, had it not because of time constraint, some probably would prefer to see the Bazaar instead. Yet, after a nice camel ride in the Valley of Temples, with the view of the three Pyramids in front and the silhouette of Cairo behind it, even the view of Sphinx from distance seemed to have pared in significance. To me, this was a trip highly recommendable to all, and one which Memphis Tours Egypt arranged very successfully for us and tailored to our needs for safety, reliability, and comfort.
