Memphis tour has done a great job arranging my private tour visit during the Eid time (Sacrifice feast). I have to say by accident I discover that this is the best time to travel to this destination as the traffic was eased due to public holiday and everywhere was rather "acceptably crowded". Best time to do this trip in November!

If you will book with Memphis tour (I totally recommend as they are very reliable), please ask specifically for Sayed Ahmed Selim for the Luxor - Aswan portion of your tour. I did this part with the boat and I personally think it is the GIST of Egypt. True, the pyrimids are in Giza close to Cairo, but I'm sure you will agree that all the important sites located outside of Cairo once you have done the trip.

Sayed was knowledgeable, professional and very friendly (genuinely).

The portion of my visit to Cairo I will not rate it 5 stars, as it was a bit filled with souvenir shopping at overpriced location. So folks, do your shopping at the market in Aswan - people are so much lesser aggressive, and the bazaar is so huge you will be shocked and amazed. Wide selection.

The Sound and light show I do not find too amusing. If you have doubt whether you should do it or not, I vote "not". But please do not miss the opportunity to go to the air balloon in Luxor, Yes, it is expensive, but you will like it and it is unforgetable. First time I did it and I wonder why I did not do it before!
