I visited Cairo for the 1st time in May 2010 and was fortunate to have contacted Memphis Tours (Marwa Amer) prior to my visit. Marwa arranged a custom programme for us that made best use of our (limited) time in Cairo. She was so gracious and professional in changing the programme afterwards when our trip schedules changed to the Ash Cloud over UK at the time. Nothing seemed too much trouble for Marwa, who always responded within a few hours to my emails (even outside normal working hours). I was so impressed even before arriving in Cairo. Everyone we dealt with (organiser, guide, drivers) was polite, very friendly, knowledgable and genuinely sincere in helping us enjoy our stay. We really had no worries at all as they took care of everything. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I would strongly recommend Memphis Tours as your best friend in Cairo and Egypt. 3 minor points: 1. Let Memphis know beforehand if you are not interested in visiting the designated prypus (Key of Life) and perfume (Siva) shops. Otherwise, you may feel too much selling pressure in these shops, though you can leave anytime. 2. Be mindful that some Egyptians ask personal questions (where you come from, what's your origin, what you work, etc.) out of being friendly, not intrusive. Let Memphis Tours guides know your interests so they can focus on better and personal service. 3. If you go on a Nile Cruise, indicate prior whether you want Upper or Lower Deck, as the Nile Crystal has 2 levels, both covered but with different views.
