Dubai Marina is located specifically in front of Jumeirah Lakes Towers, on the opposite side of Sheikh Zayed Road, the main street in the UAE that stretches along with the whole city and finishes in Abu Dhabi. Dubai Marina was built along an artificial canal and is almost 3 km long. Similarly to JLT, the construction of the area started in 2003 and was finished in 2007, although there are still some incomplete buildings. It’s full of hotels, boutiques, nightclubs, bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. Most of the area buildings are 250 to 300 meters high, some go even up to 400 meters high.
Around the lake or canal, stretches Marina Walk, an almost 7 km path, along which there are many restaurants and coffee shops. It’s a great place for a walk and dinner. In one of the sides of Marina you can see many boats, mainly exclusive yachts. Cyan tower which was once the tallest twisted skyscraper in the world is on the eastern side of the marina. Mohammed Bin Ahmed Al Mulla Mosque in Marina offers a cultural walkthrough tour every Monday from 10 to 11 AM. This tour is open to non-muslims as well. The 45-minute tour will help one form a better understanding of the region’s Islamic traditions and beliefs. If you don’t want to walk all the way, then that’s fine too. This small and relaxed shopping mall houses well-known high street fashion brands, beauty brands, electronics, and home decor stores. The Dubai Marina Mall shops include iconic, H&M, Steve Madden, Sephora, and more! The mall is also home to one of the two Waitrose supermarkets in Dubai, making it popular with the area’s residents. On the other hand, there’s a large Spinneys’ outlet in the retail area of Dubai Marina Towers.

Let your kids have their share of fun at the promenade! There are several kids’ play areas dotted throughout Dubai Marine Walk, complete with slides, swings, and climbing stages! Best time to visit Dubai Marina Walk 

Unquestionably, the best time to visit Marina is at night. After the sunset, the street lamps and the cityscape are light up, providing you the whole area with a great ambiance. Also, at night, there will be lots of yachts and Dhows decorated with more lights sailing through the water. Day times during summers are hot. Like, really hot. So if you are visiting Dubai Marina Walk during the day time in summer, you will be better off staying inside the malls in the air conditioner mode. But from October to March, which is winter in Dubai, you can comfortably walk the entire length of Marina in day time itself.
