Day 1: Arrival to Tangier

Upon arrival to Tangier city you will be met and greeted by your local driver guide. Then, you will start panoramic tour of the city before transferring to your hotel to check-in and rest.

Day 2: Tangier City tour

After breakfast, meet your local guide in the lobby of your hotel in order to start your guided tour of Tangier city, dubbed “The Bride of The north”. Tangier is an international post and a melting pot, here the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean sea , Africa meets Europe , Morocco meet Spain , Andalusia meets us .

If you take a quick look at Tangier on the map you will find out that it is located on the northern region few miles from Spain, it is on the Maghreb coast at the western entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar. Your guided visit will take you along the beach and continue to what the city is famed for like: the Kasbah and to the mythical cave where Hercules Completed his Final labor. The evening is free to enjoy The Souks of the city and enjoy the view and a walk along “Terrasse des paresseux” and the antic Canons.

Day 3: Tangier – Assilah – Tetouan

After breakfast, join your driver guide for a trip. We will be taking the coastal road to make a stop first at Assilah. This city had a long history for being a Spanish and Portuguese territory for a long time. Nowadays however, it is Known for being the city of art as each year artist all over make Pilgrimage to it and paint the walls of the city in all colors and stories. Visit the Medina, a fortified city with big old walls and narrow inner streets. Visit also the Borj and enjoy a lovely sunset there .

After lunch, we will continue to Tetouan the most Andalusia city in the kingdom. All the neighborhoods of the city belong to three different architectural styles: The Andalusia style (Medina), the Spanish style of the early and mid-twentieth century (Ensanche) and the after independence style (peripheral neighborhoods). Each style includes variations more or less important in relation to the evolution of styles and materials. While there we will visit Archaeological museum of Tetouan which exhibits a wide range of cultural and historical materials . It displays mosaics of Roman times telling the mythical story of Mars and Rhea Sylvia , as well as prehistorical tools and objects from the Acheulean, Mousterian, Azeri, Iberomusian and Neolithic .

Day 4: Tetouan - Chefchaouen

After breakfast start your guided tour by visiting Kasbah Ali Ben Rachid Plaza Uta el-Hammam then join us for wonderful tour in this beautiful city Chefchaouen is Morocco’s “Blue Pearl”. It has come to be known as such due to a distinctive blue color all the inhabitant use to paint their houses .

This tradition trace back to the Jewish traditions and beliefs that the color blue represents the sky which in turn reminds people of heaven and God. This color covering the city gives it and amazing charm as well as a sense and an atmosphere of relaxation, comfort and peace. Have you heard of healing pearls and gems? Well this one really works.

Day 5: Chefchaouen- Meknes -Volubilis - Fez

After breakfast meet you driver guide to get transferred to Fez. En route, we will be making a MUST stop by Volubilis and Meknes. The archeological site of Volubilis is listed by the UNESCO as a worldwide heritage, and it is a witness of multi-cultural Morocco. A specialized guide will walk you around the remains of the Roman outpost, through the arcs of Triumphal arches, the Capitoline Temple and large captivating Orpheus mosaics which tells tales of roman life.

Afterwards, the trip will continue to the Imperial City of Meknes, one of Morocco’s lesser-visited. It was built by Moulay Ismail and was conceived to be the ‘Versailles of Morocco’. Once you meet your local guide, you’ll be able to visit the famed gate of Bab El Mansour, and Lhri. These sites are the main beating veins of the city. We will then continue our way to Fez.

Day 6: Fez Exploration day

After breakfast, start your guided city tour of Fez, once the capital of the kingdom before 1912. Your visit today will revolve around exploring Fez the Medina which is a World Heritage Site, according to the UNESCO, and it was founded in the 9th century and it is home to the world's oldest university.

Your local guide will show you around the major sites like Bou-Inania and AttarinMedersa, the tanners, Ess-Seffarine Square, MoulayDriss tomb, El-Nejjarine square, and the cabinet makers’ souk, the Hebrew district ‘Mellah’. In your schedule, you will have a pottery workshop with a pottery master so that you get to have a full Moroccan experience. After lunch at a local restaurant, you are free to either choose to go back to your hotel or stroll in the narrow alley of the old town on your own.

The more you know: each October Fez held one of the largest and well known Sufi festivals with performers from around the world

Day 7: Fez – Rabat

After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Rabat and join your tour guide for visit of the capital city of Morocco. Rabat was founded by Abd Al-Mu’min, a ruler of the Almohad dynasty for military reasons. It was built to serve as a fortress, hence its original name Ribatu l-Fath, meaning "stronghold of victory". Our guided tour in Rabat will then revolve around uncovering the history of Rabat. The tour includes a visit to the Royal Palace, Hassan Tower, and Kasbah Ouddaya.

Free time afterwards to stroll around the souks and bazaars in the old medina of Rabat which are full or all type of merchandise as well as leather made traditional and moder shoes alongside Moroccan styles bags with some authentic Berber style and old jewelry shops . Then, Continue to “Café Maure “on the bank of river Bouregrag, to enjoy a Moroccan mint tea alongside some Moroccan goodies like: Kaab Ghazal and Ghariba.

The more you know: Kaab Ghazal means in Arabic the hoof of the dear , and along with Ghariba and Mint Tea are symbols of Moroccan hospitality

Day 8: Rabat – Casablanca

fter breakfast, your local driver guide will be waiting for you so as to start your tour. Your local guide will accompany you throughout the tour to tell you everything you need to know. The tour will start at Hassan II Mosque,an architectural master piece. Afterwards, we will be visiting the only Jewish museum in an Arab county – it traces the long history of Judaism in Morocco and its influence. After Lunch, continue with your local guide to Souk (the market place) to end the tour of Casablanca in Hobus and don’t forget to enjoy Casablanca’s Art deco before heading to the hotel to rest.

The more you know: Casablanca, in Arabic Dar el-Baida, translates to: the white house (not to be confused with American one!). Its original name was Anfa as first set by the Phoenicians.

Payment Policy

 

 

We are offering you to pay a low down payment of just 10% to keep your place on the tour including hotel room, cruise cabin, domestic flight ticket, and other travel-related services. The remaining balance can be paid only two days prior to your arrival date or in cash upon arrival at the destination to your tour guide. This will give you the chance to book your tour with no risk or any loss.

Morocco Entry Visa

You need to have a valid passport at least 6 months beyond your scheduled return date to enter Morocco and you can obtain a visa from Morocco Consulate before departure. Also, entry visa is available upon arrival in Morocco airports against USD 27 per passport for specific nationalities and need to check before.

Some nationalities don’t need a visa to visit Morocco for the purpose of tourism for up to 3 months such as United States of America, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Denmark, Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland. For more info and details on entry visa to Morocco please check with the Moroccan consulate or embassy at your country.

Tipping

Tipping for a job well done is customary in Morocco, though not required. Please feel welcomed but not obliged to offer a tip to your guide.

Flexible Cancellation Policy

Memphis Tours offers a very flexible cancelation policy in case the government or the airline issues a travel warning from/to your departure country and destination. In the event that this happens, we will be refunding you the amount paid in full.
