Memphis Tours' Egypt Abu Simbel tour is the most complete tour package to Egypt available in a single 8-day itinerary — covering Cairo, Aswan, Abu Simbel, and Luxor with nothing left out. In Cairo, your private Egyptologist guide takes you to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the iconic Sphinx, the Valley Temple, and the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum, housing Tutankhamun's golden treasures and over 100,000 ancient artefacts. You also explore Khan El Khalili Bazaar and the medieval streets of Islamic Cairo. Flying south to Aswan, you visit Philae Temple — dedicated to the goddesses Isis and Hathor — and the ancient Unfinished Obelisk still resting in its quarry. The next morning, a guided coach takes you to the UNESCO-listed twin temples of Abu Simbel, masterpieces carved into sandstone cliffs by Ramesses II and his queen Nefertari in the 13th century BC. You then board the Salacia Nile Cruise in Aswan and sail north to Luxor, stopping at Kom Ombo Temple, Horus Temple at Edfu, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, the Colossi of Memnon, and Karnak Temple. Every hotel, domestic flight, full-board cruise cabin, private guide, and entrance fee is included by Memphis Tours.

Itinerary

Arrive at Cairo International Airport, where your Memphis Tours representative meets you inside the terminal, assists with passport control and baggage, and escorts you to your private air-conditioned vehicle.

Transfer to your hotel, where a welcome drink awaits and your representative confirms your Egypt Abu Simbel tour with you — pickup times, what to bring for the Abu Simbel morning, and how your touring works day by day. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Overnight in: Cairo – Le Riad de Charme (Diamond) or Hilton Pyramids Golf Hotel / Le Riad de Charme (Golden)
Meals: Welcome drink
Visits: —
Signature Experience: Welcome drink on arrival and a private itinerary briefing
Good to Know: Your final hotel and cruise vessel confirmation is issued with your travel documents before departure

After breakfast, meet your private Egyptologist and travel to the Giza Plateau. Explore the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple, with time at the panoramic viewpoint for photographs across all three pyramids.

Continue for lunch at a local Egyptian restaurant, then visit the Grand Egyptian Museum — home to the complete Tutankhamun collection and more than 100,000 artifacts. Return privately to your hotel; your evening is free.

Overnight in: Cairo – Le Riad de Charme (Diamond) or Hilton Pyramids Golf Hotel / Le Riad de Charme (Golden)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Visits: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Valley Temple, Grand Egyptian Museum
Signature Experience: Private Egyptologist-guided touring at your own pace, with no group to keep up with
Optional Premium Experience: Interior entry to the Great Pyramid can be arranged at additional cost.
Good to Know: Dinner this evening is not included, leaving you free to try Cairo's restaurants. Your guide can recommend and reserve.

Transfer privately to Cairo Airport for your included flight south to Aswan. You are met on arrival and begin sightseeing with your Egyptologist.

Travel by motorboat to Philae Temple on its island setting, dedicated to Isis and Hathor and moved stone by stone to save it from the rising waters of the High Dam. Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk, still lying in the granite quarry where it cracked — the clearest surviving evidence of how Egypt's monoliths were cut. Check in to your Aswan hotel.

Overnight in: Aswan – Tolip Hotel Aswan (Golden); Diamond tier property confirmed with your travel documents
Meals: Breakfast
Visits: Philae Temple, Unfinished Obelisk
Signature Experience: An overnight in Aswan before Abu Simbel, so the desert drive on your Egypt Abu Simbel tour starts rested rather than after a day of travel
Good to Know: Domestic flight times are confirmed by airline availability and may require an early departure. Baggage allowance is 1 checked bag up to 23 kg (50 lb) plus 1 cabin bag up to 7 kg (15 lb) per guest. Lunch and dinner are not included today.

An early start and a road journey of roughly three and a half hours across the Nubian desert brings you to Abu Simbel — included in your package rather than sold as an add-on. Here stand the twin temples of Ramesses II and Queen Nefertari, carved into the cliff in the 13th century BC and relocated in their entirety when Lake Nasser rose behind the High Dam.

Return to Aswan in the afternoon and board your Nile cruise vessel. Lunch and dinner are served on board.

Overnight in: Nile cruise vessel, moored in Aswan – Dwa Nile Cruise (Diamond) or MS Salacia (Golden)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Visits: Great Temple of Ramesses II, Temple of Queen Nefertari
Signature Experience: Abu Simbel included in your package — Egypt's most remote monument, reached by air-conditioned coach with an accompanying guide, not an optional extra
Good to Know: Abu Simbel is operated as a small-group coach excursion with a guide. The round trip is approximately seven hours of driving, with an early morning departure — a long but rewarding day.

Breakfast on board as the vessel sails north to Kom Ombo and its unusual double temple, built with two identical entrances and divided between the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon-headed Haroeris.

Lunch is served as you continue to Edfu, where a horse-drawn carriage carries you from the mooring to the Temple of Horus — the most completely preserved temple in Egypt. Afternoon tea on board as the vessel sails on to Esna, with dinner served aboard.

Overnight in: Nile cruise vessel, moored in Esna
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Visits: Temple of Kom Ombo, Temple of Horus at Edfu
Signature Experience: The horse-drawn carriage ride from the riverbank to Edfu's temple gate
Good to Know: Sightseeing from the cruise is a shared Memphis Tours group excursion with an accompanying Egyptologist. Your Cairo touring is private; the cruise portion is not. Sailing order may adjust according to navigation conditions.

Breakfast is served as the vessel completes its passage to Luxor. Cross to the West Bank to descend into the painted burial chambers of the Valley of the Kings, the royal cemetery holding 62 known tombs beneath the Theban hills.

Continue to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, rising in three colonnaded terraces against the cliff face, and pause at the Colossi of Memnon. Return on board for afternoon tea, with the rest of the day at leisure and dinner served aboard.

Overnight in: Nile cruise vessel, moored in Luxor
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Visits: Valley of the Kings, Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon
Signature Experience: An unhurried afternoon on board after the West Bank, moored in the center of Luxor
Optional Premium Experience: Onboard spa treatments and Jacuzzi are available at additional cost.
Good to Know: Sightseeing today is a shared Memphis Tours group excursion with an accompanying Egyptologist.

Breakfast on board, then disembark to explore the East Bank. Visit the vast Karnak Temple Complex, where the Great Hypostyle Hall's 134 columns still carry traces of their original color, and the ceremonial Luxor Temple linked to it by the restored Avenue of Sphinxes.

Transfer to Luxor Airport for your included flight back to Cairo, where you are met and transferred privately to your hotel for the final night.

Overnight in: Cairo – Le Riad de Charme (Diamond) or Hilton Pyramids Golf Hotel / Le Riad de Charme (Golden)
Meals: Breakfast
Visits: Karnak Temple Complex, Luxor Temple
Signature Experience: A final Cairo night that protects your international departure day, rather than flying out the moment you disembark
Good to Know: Domestic flight times are confirmed by airline availability and may require an early departure. Baggage allowance is 1 checked bag up to 23 kg (50 lb) plus 1 cabin bag up to 7 kg (15 lb) per guest. Lunch and dinner are not included today.

Enjoy breakfast and a relaxed final morning at the close of your 8 days in Egypt. Depending on your flight time, luggage storage can be arranged at the hotel should you wish to spend a few last hours in the city.

Your private air-conditioned vehicle and representative collect you at the appointed time and transfer you to Cairo International Airport, where you are assisted through check-in and security for your onward flight.
