This Sri Lanka small group tour will give you the chance to embark on a same day excursion to Polonnaruwa historical city, rising with the decline of Anuradhapura. Visit the city of Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital and crown jewel of King Parakramabahu I, which remains a superior proof of ancient culture and heritage blended with religious beliefs. Later enjoy city of the Island Kandy. Visit Nuwara Eliya where you will enjoy hiking trails.

Day 1: Welcome to Negombo International Airport. You will be met and transfer to your hotel. 

Upon arrival at Colombo International airport, you will be met by our welcome ambassador and escorted to your hotel in Negombo, where you will be assisted with Check-in. Rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight in Negombo.

Day 2: Dambulla. visit Pinnawala which has the largest herd of captive elephants in the world.

Breakfast at your hotel. Morning, you will drive to Dambulla (128 Kms/ 3 hrs approx), En-route visit Pinnawala which has the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. Continue drive to Dambulla.

Beautiful golden caves and hiking up to witness the beautiful view welcomes you warmly to Dambulla. Located in Matale district is one of the most culturally rich towns to be in Sri Lanka. The place houses a well-preserved cave temple in the country and has very nicely kept its essence intact till date. Dambulla Cave Temple also popularly known as Golden Rock Temple comprises a cave monastery and five sanctuaries.


You will visit Dambulla Rock Temple. Dambulla Cave Temple also popularly known as Golden Rock Temple comprises a cave monastery and five sanctuaries. There are five main complexes namely- Maharaja Viharaya, Pachima Viharaya, Maha Alut Viharaya, Devaraja Viharaya and one general cave. Caves have beautiful sculptures and paintings of Lord Buddha including the 45-foot long sleeping Buddha statue.

Later check-in at your hotel. In the evening enjoy Sri Lankan curry dinner. Dhal curry is one of the most commonly consumed staple dishes in Sri Lankan cuisine. The dhal, usually masoor dhal which are red lentils, are often cooked in a beautiful blend of spices, and then a few spoons of coconut milk are added to create a rich stew. The non-vegetarian version has Chicken curry prepared with coconut milk that is a richer tasting curry because of the coconut milk. Overnight in Dambulla.

Day 3: Dambulla, enjoy Sri Lankan curry dinner. 

Breakfast at your hotel. This morning climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress (UNESCO World Heritage Site - Approx: 2.5/3 hrs to cover Fortress), The 5th century rock citadel of King Kasyapa and World Heritage Site - Sigiriya - doesn't only boasts of ancient Sri Lankan engineering & urban planning supremacy but also acclaims to be one of the finest monuments of art & culture. Step through the gigantic 'Lion Paws' - overlooking the symmetrical royal gardens below - to comprehend the absolute splendor that once dominated this rock fortress.


Later we take you to Horiwila village tour. The tour begins with a beautiful trek to a man made reservoir. Hop on a local boat, simple in structure which serves as one of the major means of commutation in this village. You may see locals on bullock carts which are two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles pulled by oxen (bullocks). It is a means of transportation used since ancient times in Sri Lanka, as well as many parts of the third world. Return to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and Overnight in Dambulla.

Day 4: Kandy Tour. visit a spice and herb garden and enjoy a city tour. 

Breakfast at your hotel. In the morning we will drive you to Kandy (74 Kms/ 2 hrs approx), En-route visit a spice and herb garden in Matale. Understand the different spices used by Sri-Lankan. An agricultural zone in the Central Province, Matale today takes immense pride in its story woven around spices. Stop by the side of a spice garden - into which you will be most welcome - and observe the therapeutic values of spices & processes over a refreshing cup of herbal tea!

Or spend some time idling on the hardened streets if you mean a real town adventure filled with voices and colors. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. We will take you for an orientation tour of Kandy which includes Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka.

It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya Tour. the Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya.

Breakfast at your hotel. We will drive you to Nuwara Eliya (75 Kms/ 2 hrs approx), enroute visit Tea Estate. Here, no matter which direction you gaze, the rolling hills decked up with green tea leaves will be a sight to behold.

Nuwara Eliya has been the capital of Sri Lanka’s tea industry from the early 19th century. Its tea factories and tea estates are open to visitors to experience the history of British Ceylon. You will be welcomed by the staff and explained the entire procedure from tea plantation to tea packaging.

Conclude your visit with a homemade cake served with a hot cup of Tea.
Continue to Nuwara Eliya - Nestled in between the bowl of green hills, this popular tourist destination, often touted as Sri Lanka’s ‘Little England’ is the perfect place to enjoy your romantic getaway.

This picture-perfect town was established by the British in the nineteenth century and was once the relaxation spot for English pioneers of Sri Lanka’s tea industry. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel. Dinner and Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya Tour. walk through Vegetable & Fruit Market, and Victoria Park

Breakfast at your hotel. In the morning you will explore Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is a beautiful countryside place specially for people who love nature mixed with elegance. During this tour drive pass Post office, Hill Club, Golf Course, walk through Vegetable & Fruit Market, Victoria Park, Race Course and Gregory Lake. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Payment Policy

We are offering you to pay a low down payment of just 10% to keep your place on the tour including hotel room, cruise cabin, domestic flight ticket, and other travel-related services. The remaining balance can be paid only two days prior to your arrival date or in cash upon arrival at the destination to your tour guide. This will give you the chance to book your tour with no risk or any loss.

Tour Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your booking at any time prior to commencement of the tour by notifying us in writing. The cancellation charges shall be as follows:

  • If you cancel before 45 days of tour commencement date, there will be no cancellation fees, except components which require per booking (train, flight and safaris).
  • If you cancel on or before 44-30 days of tour commencement date, 25% of the entire tour price will be charged.
  • If you cancel on or before 29-15 days of tour commencement date, 50% of the entire tour price will be charged.
  • Less than 14 Days before arrival 100% cancellation will be applicable.
Changes By You

If you request any changes to your travel arrangements once we have confirmed a booking, all out of pocket charges, including charges imposed by our suppliers, will be payable by you. If after the commencement of your tour you request any changes to your travel arrangements, we will do our best to implement them, but we cannot guarantee that it will be possible. In the event of such change(s) being made, you will be liable for any cancellation charges that may be levied for the previously booked service and for any costs incurred by us and our suppliers in attempting to secure any revised arrangements. Any name changes must be provided to us in writing and are subject to any airline/ train fees or penalties.

Passports & Visa Fees

All Passengers are responsible for securing proper documentation prior to joining the tour. Passports are required; in addition, travelers are advised to check with local consulates for full details regarding Visa requirements. Please note securing a valid visa for entry is sole responsibility of the traveler.

Flexible cancellation policy

Memphis Tours offers a very flexible cancelation policy in case the government or the airline issues a travel warning from/to your departure country and destination. In the event that this happens, we will be refunding you the amount paid in full.
