The payment was processed so smoothly & fast with continuous follow up & feedback by the staff members.
The selected tour guide –Alaa El Sawy- was very knowledgeable & resourceful in global history, he was also caring, pleasant, and entertaining at all times, and he was never hesitant to provide extra information or service, and although it was an English guided tour, he put extra effort to repeat the same information in Arabic –for Arabic tourists-as well.
I was lucky to find their website; their rates were very reasonable comparing to other online-tour agents or even to the cruise liner rates, it would be more expensive if we had made our reservation direct through the cruise liner website.

“Great Nile Cruise on the Movenpick Royal Lily, with guide Eid Mohamed”

Our cruise from Luxor to Aswan, 13th to the 17th of May, was excellent, to say the least. Ms. Eman Rashad dealt with the booking, and should be considered a woman with nerves of steel, as more than a dozen itineraries were under consideration, well over a month before departure. Thank you for all of the hard work.
Our guide, Eid Mohamed, was very knowledgable, and I speak from past experience, as I've done the cruise twice (different boats and tour companies, though) before, in 2009 and 2005. He was very helpful when a member of our Canadian group got sick, and thoroughly surprised me when he took the time to explain Kom Ombo to her on the top deck after we all returned on board.
His assistance in the Aswan Souq was also great, as was our cafe experience after it all ended. We intend to return to Aswan for an extended stay, so it's really great to have Eid as a trusted contact. Again, thank you!

I contacted Memphis Tours to arrange a cruise for myself and my boyfriend. Marwa at Mephis was very honest about what we could expect from the cruise and even showed me a negative review she had received from a client.
Due to time constraints we took the cruise on the Swiss Inn Ramadis II which didn't come as highly recommended as others cruise liners. However we really enjoyed the cruise on the Swiss Inn Radamis II and it far exceeded our expectations. We had a good sized room which was cleaned twice daily. The food was better than expected and the buffet provided some variety. Our tours were exceptional due to our guide King Hassam (Professor Hassam). He was extremely knowlegable and very patient with any filming or extra time we took to take photos. The sailing was done well with our first night in Aswan, then Edfu then Luxor.
Prior to our cruise in Aswan we were collected from our hotel by Mustafa from Memphis even though it was a short walk from our hotel to the cruiser. He made this easy and stress free, as well as organising a hot air balloon tour in Luxor at the last minute.
Thanks again to both Marwa and Mustafa for making our time in Egypt really enjoyable. I would not hesitate in recommending your company to any of my friends or family for future trips in Egypt.

I highly recommend Memphis Tours for your travel to Egypt. They are professional, friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The excellent service began right away in the Cairo airport where we were met by the amazing Mohamed Besheer. Our tour guide, Alaa Elsawy, on our cruise from Luxor to Aswan was incredible. I was continually impressed by his vast knowledge about Egyptian history and his constant enthusiasm. Our tour guide, Maha, in Cairo was just as great. She was informative, friendly and an excellent photographer! I enjoyed every moment in Egypt and felt safe at all times. My husband and I are travelling to Egypt in March and we always wanted to take the Nile Cruise. I came across Memphis tours on the net and read very good reviews from other travellers. I contacted them through their chat line which was quite handy and Abdo Younis replied to all my queries and has been providing me with all the assistance to get all arrangements for our transfers to airport and our hotel, domestic flights and accommodation to have an unforgettable travel experience. I have to say Abdo Younis has been fantastic; he has replied to all my e-mails promptly and has made the changes to my itinerary to suit us. Abdo was very helpful when getting our visas and from his own initiative he rang the visa department in Egypt to find out if we needed to get a visa upon arrival or if we needed to get it in advance. Abdo has made our travel plans a lot easier. I would certainly recommend getting in touch Abdo if you are planning on going to Egypt. I am counting the days to go to Egypt.

A Lovely and Quiet Nile Cruise

I booked a Nile Cruise with Memphis via their website and Mawa was very helpful in assisting me with selecting a cruise running from Friday to Monday morning on the Nile Dolphin ship.
Arriving in Aswan via the overnight train from Cairo I was greeted at the station by Saayd who was my guide for the entire trip. After going to the unfinished obelisk and the high damn we drove back to the ship to check-in and have some lunch. The ship was extremely nice with an excellent, handsome, and friendly staff. My room was lovely and there was always way too much food on hand at each meal.
Given the current situation in Egypt the ship was barely a 1/3 full, which really was nice to me since I tend to avoid obnoxious crowds of Western tourists so only had to deal with a few of those! I was the only person with Saayd while other people on the ship had tour groups of at least two, but one had eight random people grouped together. Since I generally travel alone this was really nice to be with a guide one-on-one. It would take pages to transcribe all the activities, felucca ride to hot air ballon ride at sunrise over the valley of the kings, etc. so I will just say that this was a wonderful experience.
Since I was not leaving until late Monday evening to take the train back to Cairo, they even arranged for me to stay on the ship, though without my cabin, for the day. Then someone from Memphis came to collect me and waited at the station until the train came, which was also very nice. I only have one complaint, which isn't even a complaint, but that in Luxor we had a very large van/bus that held about 10-12 people, yet it was only the driver, Saayd and myself! So, even though there are cars belching out toxic fumes all over Cairo, I still felt I was wasting petrol on just me! Memphis is really lovely and I wish that I would have also booked them during my week in Cario.

Flexible and Relaxing, Mohamed Emam is a great tour guide

Our four day cruise down the Nile was very professionally organized by Eman Rashad, and then led by the very knowledgeable Mohamed Emam. If you can get him as your tour guide, you should! He knows Egyptian history and egyptology extremely well and his passion for Egypt really comes through in his tours, and he is very patient with questions. The temples are of course fantastic, especially Karnak. The cruise boat was fun and relaxing. The food on it was good quality although not excellent, and had both western style and Egyptian food at every meal. The rooms were very comfortable. We tended to see sights in the early mornings before things got too crowded and sailed in the afternoons. As a do-it-yourself jam-pack-your-days type of traveler, I wasn't sure I'd be able to handle a cruise experience where I had no control over the schedule. But in this case it's worth it - there are too many sights that would be hard to see on your own, even if you speak a bit of Arabic. Egypt isn't set up for individual travelers. And Memphis Tours is very accommodating - there were some extra sights we wanted to see in the valley of the workers at Luxor and Mohamed booked us a car and gave us a great tour without advance notice. All the staff very friendly, and it is also clear that a lot of sights are working hard to change for the better (such as hawkers hassling crowds before entrance to sights less frequently). It was great that Memphis Tours was so flexible and accommodating. Also, you can get a discount if you have an international student ID cards at many entrances to the sites (which means memphis tours will discount your total package price).

I’d like to say a big thank you to the staff of Memphis Tours for making our recent holiday so successful. We had a "Nile Cruise" on (eventually) The MS Royal Viking - which about 2/3 full. Our guide Ahmed was most knowledgeable and helpful throughout. The sites (Valley of the Kings etc) were almost empty of tourists and all the people we met were delighted to see some tourists again. Although we organised our own travel to a nfrom the boat, the Memphes team at Luxor was most helpful and their manager in Aswan went out of his way to make our trip to Abu Simbel a great success.

He was extremely knowledgeable about all the different sites we visited, was professional, punctual, attentive, and went the extra mile to ensure I had an amazing experience. Also, as a young woman travelling on my own, he helped me navigate the differences in cultural exchanges and ensured that I was safe.
