Arrival at Tashkent Airport, meet our representative, and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Tashkent.

Breakfast at the hotel. Around 12:00, your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to begin your sightseeing excursion.

  • Khasti Imam Complex, including the Quran Museum, Barak Khan Madrassa, and Kafal Shahi Mausoleum, one of Tashkent's most important spiritual monuments located in the heart of the Old City.
  • Chorsu Bazaar, the city's famous oriental market where local traditions and vibrant culture come to life.
  • Tashkent Subway (several stations), the first subway system in Central Asia, opened in 1977. Each station showcases unique architecture with marble, granite, and elegant rows of columns.
  • Amir Temur Square, the city's central park featuring the impressive equestrian statue of Amir Temur and the popular "Broadway."
  • Independence Square, the most important public square in Tashkent.

Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel or receive breakfast boxes before transferring to Tashkent International Airport for your flight from TAS to NUK (07:15–08:55). Upon arrival, meet your driver and guide.

  • Continue your Silk Road Tour Uzbekistan with a scenic drive to Khiva (approximately 3–3.5 hours). Along the way, visit the ancient Toprak Kala and Ayaz Kala Fortresses, remarkable Khorezm desert fortresses dating from around the 1st millennium BC to the 6th century AD. Once serving as royal residences and defensive strongholds of the Khorezm civilization, these impressive mud-brick ruins overlook the breathtaking landscapes of the Kyzylkum Desert.

  • Poikalon Complex (12th–16th centuries), the magnificent architectural ensemble in the heart of Old Bukhara, featuring the grand Masjidi Kalon cathedral mosque, Miri Arab Madrasah, and the impressive Kalon Minaret (46 meters), once the tallest minaret in the Orient.
  • Trading Domes, consisting of three historic trading centers: Tok-i-Zargaron (Jeweler's Bazaar), Tok-i-Tilpak Furushon (Cap Maker's Bazaar), Tok-i-Sarrafon (Moneychanger's Bazaar)
  • Magoki Attori Mosque, originally a four-pillared mosque that was destroyed in the city-wide fire of 937. During the 12th century, the present mosque was constructed, preserving its original southern portal.
  • Lyabi-Hauz Complex (16th–17th centuries), including the Nodir Devon Begi Madrasah, Khanaka, and the beautiful pool surrounded by shady trees.

Today's visits include:

  • Gur Amir Mausoleum, Timur's mausoleum, meaning "The King's Tomb" in Persian. It contains the tombs of Timur, his sons Shohruh and Miran Shah, grandsons Ulugbek and Muhammad Sultan, and Timur's tutor, Sayyid Baraka. Construction began after the death of Muhammad Sultan, Timur's favorite grandson and heir.
  • Registan Square (15th–17th centuries), featuring: Ulugbek Madrasa (1417–1420), Sher-Dor Madrasa (1619–1636), Tilla-Kari Madrasa (1647–1660)
  • Bibi-Khanum Mosque (15th century), one of the largest architectural masterpieces of the Tamerlane era.
  • Shakhi Zinda (9th–14th & 19th centuries), an extraordinary architectural complex of more than 20 mausoleums containing 44 tombs, including the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad's cousin.
  • Siab Bazaar, Samarkand's famous market located at the crossroads of ancient Silk Road trading routes. Visiting Samarkand without exploring Siab Bazaar means missing one of the city's most memorable experiences.

Visits include:

  • Ulugbek Observatory, built by Ulugbek, the grandson of Timur (Tamerlane), who ruled for 40 years. During his reign, Samarkand became one of the world's leading scientific centers. He established the renowned Scientific School and built the Gurjani Zij Observatory (1428–1429), which housed a giant marble sextant with a radius of more than 40 meters and an arc length of 63 meters. This remarkable instrument was used to calculate the positions of the sun, moon, and planets. Ulugbek also compiled the famous astronomical catalog, Tables of the Stars.
  • Afrosiab Museum, where visitors can explore the fascinating history of ancient Samarkand through impressive archaeological discoveries and exhibits showcasing the city's rich Silk Road heritage.
  • Lunch at a local restaurant.
  • Later, transfer to the railway station to board the high-speed train from Samarkand to Tashkent: 17:40–20:07 or 18:15–20:30
