Upon arrival at Sharm El Sheikh airport, you will be transferred to the town of Saint Catherine, a peaceful destination surrounded by history and natural beauty. Enjoy your first night in a Bedouin camp at the foot of the mountains, featuring a spacious garden. Dinner will be served at the camp.
After breakfast, begin a three-hour walk through Nakab Abo Jifa Valley, passing lush gardens of olive, fig, and pomegranate trees. Stop for lunch at noon, then continue walking for two more hours to reach the Wadi Zawatine bivouac (camp of Om Saad), hosted by a local Bedouin woman. Dinner and an overnight stay under the stars complete the day’s experience.
Start your day with a three-hour trek to Mount Serbal, also known as the Mount of Blessing or the Black Mountain, the highest peak in Egypt. Enjoy lunch at noon, followed by a short rest. In the afternoon, take a two-hour walk to Wadi al Shag, with the option to swim in a natural pool. Spend the evening at the bivouac with dinner and overnight under the stars.
Trek for four hours to reach the summit of Mount Saint Catherine, home to a historic chapel and treasures of the monastery, some dating back to before the 8th century. Pause for lunch at noon, then continue with a two-hour afternoon walk to Wadi Al Arbaine (the Valley of the 40 Martyrs). Enjoy dinner and another night under the stars at the bivouac.
After breakfast, visit the Monastery of Saint Catherine, a third-century Byzantine Greek Orthodox Christian monastic center. Later, ascend Mount Sinai to experience a breathtaking sunset over this sacred mountain, important to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Return to your hotel to conclude the tour.
