Arrival at Istanbul Airport, where you will be greeted by our representative (Gate Number 8) and assisted with a transfer to your
hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, your full-day city tour begins in the morning with an exterior visit to the beautiful and iconic Hagia Sophia, followed by a tour of the extensive Topkapi Palace complex (closed on Tuesdays), which is not a single structure but an organic collection of various kiosks, gardens, and areas at the entrance to the Golden Horn, and then a visit to the Blue Mosque, admired for its six tall minarets and domes, before breaking for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit the Roman Hippodrome, the site of chariot races and entertainment for over a thousand years, and conclude the day with free time at the covered Grand Bazaar (closed on Sundays and religious holidays) before returning to your hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel and an early departure to Istanbul airport for your flight to Cappadocia, you will enjoy a full-day tour of the northern part of the region, starting with the UNESCO-recognized Göreme Open Air Museum, a medieval monastic complex, followed by the Ortahisar Panorama with its wonderful view of a natural castle, stone houses, and mosques. A short drive will then take you to Pasabagi (Valley of the Monks) to see conical fairy chimneys, and after lunch at a local restaurant in Avanos on the banks of the Kızılırmak River, you will see famous Turkish handicrafts, stop at the strangely formed Devrent Valley, enjoy the beautiful view over Urgup from the Valley of Three Beauties, and visit the Göreme Panorama stop south of Göreme before returning to the hotel for dinner.
