Itinerary

Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to the selected hotel. The rest of the day is free to rest or take an excursion (on request), if time permits.

Overnight in Lima.

Breakfast at the hotel. At the set time, we will transfer you to the airport to board your flight to the "White City": Arequipa. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting for you to transfer you to the selected hotel.

At 14:00 hours, the White City opens up its doors in a tour that begins in the Carmen Alto viewpoint, from where we will be able to admire the beautiful landscape of farming terraces and the three guardian volcanoes that surround the city:

Misti, Chachani, and Pichu-Picchu. We will then continue to the colonial district of Yanahuara, famous for its church built in Andalusian style, and its viewpoint with its gorgeous architecture surrounded by sillar stone arches. We will then visit the Monastery of Saint Catherine, an impressive religious monument that had been closed to the public for nearly 400 years; its narrow streets, plazas, and gardens remind us of the ancient districts of Seville or Granada.

Finally, we will head for the Main Square, where we will be able to appreciate the Cathedral, the arches that surround the plaza, and the Church of the Company of Jesus, founded in the 17th century by the Jesuits.

Overnight in Arequipa.

Meals: Breakfast

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, at the indicated time, we will pick you up from your hotel to start the guided tour to the city outskirts, beginning with the Paucarpata District with its farming terraces that date back to pre-Inca times. We will visit the Sabandia Mill, built in the 18th century, and which is still working. We will also visit the Founder's Mansion, a beautiful building of colonial times that dates back to the 18th century.

Then we will have lunch. Arequipa, like the other cities of Peru, will surprise you with its flavors.

Overnight in Arequipa.

Meals: Breakfast

Breakfast at the hotel. At the agreed time, departure by bus to the city of Puno. On this trip that lasts approximately 07 hours, you can see beautiful landscapes passing through the slopes of the Chachani volcano. Also, we will have a spectacular view of the Misti and Pichu Pichu volcano, and we can see part of the Andean fauna like Llamas, Vicuñas, Alpacas, and Vizcachas, while we cross the Reserve of Pampa Cañahuas, and diverse typical towns of the High Andes.

Arriving in Puno, reception, transfer, and accommodation in the hotel.

Overnight in Puno.

Meals: Breakfast

Breakfast at the hotel. At 08 hours, we will transfer you to the pier of Titicaca Lake to start our excursion to Taquile Island, a place of spectacular beauty where its inhabitants maintain ancestral customs with which we can share some of their experiences.

Continuing with the trip, we will visit the floating islands of the Uros, artificial islands, handcrafted by their inhabitants based on the Totora, a plant that grows in the same lake. The Uros live basically from fishing, hunting, and gathering, as well as selling handicrafts and multi-coloured fabrics. During the tour, we can see and hear the legends of the Uros, their customs and folklore. It is worth noting that the whole journey of this day is made by navigating on Titicaca Lake, the highest navigable lake in the world.

Overnight in Puno.

Meals: Breakfast

Breakfast at the hotel. At the arranged time, transfer to the terminal to board the tourist bus to Cusco city. On the way, we will visit the museum of the Pucara site, we will make a brief stop in "La Raya", the highest point of the route (4335 m.a.s.l), we will visit the archaeological centre of Raqchi (one of the main temples to the god Wiracocha), and we will stop in Sicuani to taste a nice buffet lunch. Finally, before arriving in Cusco, we will visit the church of Andahuaylillas, also known as the Sistine Chapel of South America.

Upon arrival in Cusco, our staff will be waiting for you to transfer you to your selected hotel.

Overnight in Cusco.

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Breakfast at the hotel. Between 13:00 and 13:30 pm we will pick you up at the hotel to start the Cusco City Tour of the colonial city, built on the bases of Inca palaces. During the tour, we will visit the Main Square, the Temple of the Sun (known as Qoricancha), and the Cathedral of Cusco, where we will be able to observe beautiful paintings and sculptures.

Then we will continue to the Archaeological Center of Sacsayhuaman, a multipurpose place where the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth were worshipped, and which was also used as a military fortress and an astrological center. Later, we will arrive at Q'enco, a center of worship related to the fire element. We will continue to Puca Pucara, a place used as a supply center and an Inca control post, where wind ceremonies were also held. Finishing the tour, we will arrive at Tambomachay, a center of worship for water and fertility.

At the end of the tour, we will return to the hotel.

Overnight in Cusco.

Meals: Breakfast

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, we will start a tour in which we will visit the town of Pisac, its handicraft market, the popular fair and its narrow streets. Then we will continue the tour through the Sacred Valley of Urubamba, where you can enjoy a nice buffet lunch.

After lunch, we will visit Ollantaytambo: an Inca city still inhabited that preserves a complex system of irrigation channels and foundations from that time, on which a large part of the town was built. This archaeological center has large groups of platforms, forts, squares, channels, and the Real Casa del Sol, a megalithic temple of great mystical value.

Overnight in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Breakfast at the hotel. At the set time, we will transfer you to the train station to start the excursion to the Sacred City of Machu Picchu, recognized as one of the wonders of the world and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Once we reach the archaeological site, we will begin a guided tour around the citadel that will last about 2 hours. During the tour, you will find temples, palaces, squares, and streets in military and agricultural areas. The beauty of Machu Picchu is exalted by the extraordinary scenery in which it is located. Around the citadel, the National Reserve covers an area of 32,500 hectares and includes a constellation of archaeological monuments which we believe that were built as part of the complex of Machu Picchu and not in isolation way.

Free time to enjoy the archaeological site. At the arranged time with the guide, we will descend to Aguas Calientes town, where we will be included in the lunch. Return to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel.
