The Dubai Miracle Garden is the world's most extensive natural flower garden, occupying over 72,000 square meters. The garden has over 50 million flowers and over 250 million plants, providing a magnificent view to everyone visiting the location. Back in 2015, the garden was awarded the Moselle Award as the New Garden Experiences of the year, which were offered by the Garden Tourism Award 2015. Dubai Miracle Garden is considered the largest natural flower garden in the world, comprising over 50 million spice of flowers and 250 million types of plants. The project was executed by the Akar Landscaping and Agriculture company, with the leadership of Abdel Naser Rahal, the Jordanian businessman, in a cost reached about $11 million USD.

 

Construction of Dubai Miracle Garden and Butterfly Garden

 

The project was as a result of the collaboration of the Dubailand and the Dubai Properties Group destination, under the agreement with Akar landscaping and Agriculture Company. The project construction passed with various steps. The first phase was ready in 2 months by the hands of 400 workers. Then, the second phase was started in mid-June and completed in October 2013. The final marvelous construction was gifted with retail stores,  the floral clock, and the spectacular Dubai Butterfly Garden. Following the romantic theme of the attraction, its opening was in the Valentine’s Day 2013, making it a perfect Dubai romance retreat, and it was later awarded the Garden Tourism Award in 2015.

 

Generally, the expenditure on the project amounted to $11million, which is AED 40 million, ensuring that the destination wins your heart with its exceptional beauty. In 2013, the first phase of the project was launched, which occupied 21,000 sq.ft.This phase of the project took two months and over 350 workers to complete, but the results were worth the toil. 
 

The gradual development of the project in phase two, which kicked off in June 2013, included about 71% expansion and the construction of the car, increasing the total area of the garden to nearly 2 million sq. Ft. Phase two included the addition of the floral clock, retail stores, mosques, and, most importantly, the Dubai butterfly garden.

 

Operation of the Construction

 

When it comes to ensuring the garden remains outstanding always. The flowers are maintained using drip irrigation with the reuse of treated wastewater. On average, 757,082 liters are used in a day to keep the flowers flourishing. As a creative outreach to the Dubai Miracle Garden, in 2015, Dubai Butterfly Garden was opened, to stand as the largest sanctuary for butterflies.

 

The Garden inhabits 26 species in more than 15.000 butterflies. As part of Dubai attractions, Dubai Miracle Garden and Walt Disney Company had an agreement on building the famous Mickey Mouse Topiary that was unveiled in 2018. Flower statues comprising Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and more of Disney Classical Characters. Guinness World Records have stated the biggest flower-construction in the world of an air-bus A380. The structure extends for 18 meters.  You are most welcomed to visit Dubai Miracle Garden from October to April, as the garden might be closed from May to September due to the high temperature.

The director of the Bollywood film Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Mohit Suri, said the use of the miracle garden was to bring out the softer side of Dubai. Dubai Butterfly garden

 

The butterfly was launched in 2015 as the world's largest butterfly garden, serving as a saturator for over 26 species of butterflies. As the world's largest covered butterfly garden, it's made of custom-built domes occupying 6,673 square meters. Every dome is filled with thousands of butterflies, varying in size and color. Moreover, the garden allows you to see how butterflies evolve from one stage to another. By controlling the climate inside the done, the butterfly garden provides a relaxed mood for the butterflies. 

 

Rules while inside the Dubai Butterfly Garden

 

The use of professional cameras or drones inside the garden is not permitted. You can only shoot professional shoots after obtaining permission from the special management. Food from outside the garden is not allowed as well as sitting on the grass. Most importantly, bike riding inside the garden is prohibited. 

 

 

Opening and Working hours

 

Unlike the Miracle garden, the butterfly garden is operational all year round, thanks to the conducive environment inside the garden. Along with the garden, there is a butterfly museum and a lush garden composed of fountains, birds, and even fish ponds which you will see on your Dubai tour.

 

 

Entrance Fees of Dubai Flower Garden and Butterfly Garden

 

Dubai Miracle Garden tickets cost 100 AED for adults and 85 AED for children between 3 and 11 years old. Children under the age of 3 get in free.  Tickets for Dubai Butterfly Garden, a standalone attraction, cost 60 AED per person. Visitors have to purchase tickets only from the authorized counters or sanctioned portals, because tickets bought from unofficial vendors are not valid. Please note that the ticket rates and operating hours might change, and hence it is recommended to check the official website before going there.
