Namibia & Botswana Safari: Dunes to Delta

Distance: 350 km | Driving time: Approximately 5–6 hours

• Check out from The Weinberg after breakfast and continue your Namibia and Botswana safari toward the spectacular Sossusvlei region.
• If needed, spend some time in town picking up any last-minute essentials before departing south toward Sossusvlei.
• Travel through either the scenic Spreetshoogte Pass or Remhoogte Pass, both offering beautiful views of Namibia’s landscapes.
• On Day 3, enjoy an early breakfast before heading to the Sesriem Gate, the entrance to the Sossusvlei area.
• Spend the full day visiting Sossusvlei, Dead Vlei, Dune 45, Big Daddy, Elim Dune, and Sesriem Canyon.
• Return to the lodge for lunch, or arrange a packed lunch to enjoy among the dunes before returning in the late afternoon to relax.

• After breakfast, depart Sossusvlei and travel north toward Solitaire before heading west across the Tropic of Capricorn.
• Continue through the spectacular Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons and across the Namib Gravel Plains toward the coast.
• Travel either via Walvis Bay to Swakopmund or, as recommended, take a detour through Ganab to visit the Welwitschia Plains and Moon Landscape.
• The Namibian coastline is commonly known as the Skeleton Coast, named for its barren landscapes, historic shipwrecks, and whale skeletons once found along the beaches.
• Enjoy a full day in the Swakopmund and Walvis Bay area, with a variety of activities available, including dolphin cruises, Sandwich Harbour excursions, dune quad biking, sandboarding, sea kayaking, and more.

Distance: 360 km | Driving time: Approximately 4 hours

• After breakfast, depart Swakopmund and travel back to Windhoek.
• Upon arrival, your guide will drop you at your accommodation for your final night in Namibia.

• Check out from The Weinberg and transfer to Hosea Kutako International Airport.
• Depart from Hosea Kutako International Airport and fly to Maun Airport. Flights are not included.
• Upon arrival in Maun, meet your pilot for a light aircraft transfer to Kanana Airstrip.
• Arrive at Kanana Airstrip and transfer to Kanana in the Okavango Delta.
• After breakfast, you will be transferred to Hosea Kutako International Airport outside Windhoek.
• In Maun, meet your pilot and board your light aircraft for the transfer into the Okavango Delta to continue your Namibia & Botswana tour.
• Enjoy the scheduled activities with your lodge guide over the next nights.
• The Kanana area consists of a beautiful chain of islands along the Xudum River, northeast of Pom Pom Lagoon, with winding waterways flowing through open lagoons.
• Activities: Game drives with a maximum of 4 guests per vehicle, mokoro excursions, boat cruises depending on water levels, and walking activities.
