Your Kenya Masai Mara safari begins with a scenic drive through the Rift Valley toward Maasai Mara, Kenya's most celebrated wildlife reserve. Along the way, enjoy a game viewing drive before arriving at your lodge in time for lunch.
Widely regarded as Kenya's premier game reserve, Masai Mara was famously featured in much of "Out of Africa" and remains home to abundant wildlife, including the Big Five. From late June, it hosts one of nature's greatest spectacles: millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle crossing the Mara River from Tanzania's Serengeti plains in search of fresh grazing. The reserve is also a birdwatcher's paradise, with more than 450 recorded species.

It's also one of the few places in Kenya to see the endangered Rothschild's giraffe, alongside white rhino and the rare, closely guarded black rhino.
