Nizwa and Wahiba Sand Adventure

Take a short tour and visit Nizwa with its Souq. Also visit Jabrin, the finest of Oman's castles. Live the adventure of Wahiba Sands. 

Day 1: Muscat - Nizwa - Jabreen - Wahiba Sands 

After breakfast depart by 4 WD vehicle, Begin by driving to the Dakhalia region of Oman, via the Samail passes and the three abandoned villages of Birkat Al-Mouz. Visit Nizwa. Stroll through its famous souq where silver and coppersmiths produce exquisite ornaments before your very eyes. Souvenir hunters will treasure the famous Omani khanjar, coffee pot and copper vessels. Proceed to the historic Nizwa Fort. Nizwa, capital of the interior, is the birthplace of Islam in the Sultanate of Oman. Nizwa boasts of the famous Round Tower Fort, built in the 17th century, and its Souq renowned for its Friday cattle auction, and thereafter break for lunch at a traditional Omani restaurant. After Lunch Visit proceed to Jabrin, the finest of Oman’s castles built in the late 17th century, became a seat of Omani learning. The castle displays the highest achievement in Omani ceiling painting & beautifully executed woodcarvings. After that you will head to Wahiba Sands, on arrival at the campsite, guests are welcomed by Bedouins, serving Omani coffee, fresh fruit and mineral water. Dinner at the camp and Overnight at Oryx camp.

Day 2: Wahiba Sands - Wadi Bani Kahlid - Muscat 

After breakfast enjoy the sunrise at Wahiba Sands. Wahaiba Sands Is one of the most fascinating and mysterious deserts in the Arab Gulf region. It is also home to a few thousand Bedouins, who are known to have inhabited this inhospitable region for at least 7000 years. Skilled driver will then take guests for exciting dune drive. One of the stunning features of Wahaiba Sands is the shifting colours of sand at different times of the day. A camel ride offer (Extra charge) a unique Desert experience. Drive to Wadi Bani Khalid. The pools has clear deep cool waters, where the shade of the palm trees is inviting for a relaxing siesta! Catch a glimpse of the pretty villages scattered all over Wadi Bani Khalid as they cling precariously to the slopes of the rugged mountain- side (Please bring along your swim- wear, the clear waters of the Wadi are very inviting! Also please note that light clothing and walking shoes may be more suitable on this trip). Picnic lunch will be served. Later on, back to your hotel in Muscat
