After that you will be transferred by a modern air-conditioned vehicle to Luxor, approximately 3 hours far from Safaga. Then continue to the famous Karnak Temples the largest place of worship ever built and the greatest example of worship in history. It was constructed from the beginning of the Middle Kingdom to the Greco Roman Kingdom. Within the complex, the great "Hypostyle Hall" is an incredible forest of giant pillars.
Continue your tour with a drive to Luxor Temple, originally built during the reign of Amenophis III over 5,000 years ago. Also you will witness some of the best preserved art work in Egypt.

Those tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the pharaohs, you will visit 3 tombs. Continue the tour to visit the Hatshepsut Temple at El Deir El Bahary, this impressive temple dedicated to the Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh rises out of the desert plain in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it. After that return to your hotel for a quick check-out and lunch before making the return journey to Safaga and the ship.

“Cairo and Luxor”
Jason G , 2/18/14
I have been on two tours in Cairo and two tours in Luxor with Memphis and they were all excellent. They pick you up fromyour lodgings in the morning by private car and take you to the sites. They get the tickets for you and help you deal with the hawkers. The egyptolost tour guides are really knowledgeable and helpful.

I was particularly impressed by Mohamed Salam in Cairo though Maha and Abdou were also good. I would recommend Memphis Tours to any of my family and friends who come to Egypt.

“Two-day tour to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings”
Alexe, 8/11/13
My wife and I and two friends did this tour with Memphis Tours in April 2013. We were visiting the Port of Safaga on a cruise and chose to book the small-group-tour with Memphis, rather than on the ship's coach tour. We were not disappointed. The arrangements were professional, as was the tour itself. Our main guide was Abdelaal Wanan. He was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We visited the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut's Temple, the Colossi Of Mennon, the Karnak Sound and Light Show, and Luxor Temple. We spent overnight at the classy Sheraton Hotel. They were two days to remember, and I thank Memphis Tours for their professional efforts in looking after us.

Visit to Luxor
Anne, 4/30/13
We recently visited Luxor by cruise ship and booked an overnight tour to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings through Memphis Tours. My husband is in a wheelchair, and Memphis Tours provided a van with a removable ramp that enabled my husband to get in and out of the van without leaving his wheelchair. Our guide Ahmed and driver Said were polite, well informed, courteous and did all they could to give us a great tour. We were impressed by the efforts they made to make sure we could see the amazing antiquities easily. We were well taken care of and enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Luxor that Memphis Tours arranged. Our guide and driver were great.
This is the second time we have used Memphis Tours, the first time in Alexandria, and would recommend their services to anyone visiting Egypt.

2 day tour of Luxor
Gary wing, 6/30/12
Timely pick up and drop off. My Egyptologist/guide Azab, was very informative and also helpful in helping me answer my EarthCache questions while geocaching at the temples. His explanations were clear and concise. Hotel and dinner/lunch were very good. The short tour met my needs...I saw what I wanted, may have been a little bit expensive, but worth it.

Memphis tours
Vicki026, 10/17/11
My huband & I haven't yet visited, but have been planning a 2-day Luxor tour shore excursion through Memphis Tours. We are very pleased with everything that Marwa Samir has done for us thus far. We're hopeful that our guide and the actual tour will be as friendly & efficient as Marwa has been.

Tours from Cruise Ships Alexandria and Safaga Egypt
Aussie-Wanderers9, 12/15/09
In October 09 we travelled by cruise ship from Rome to Alexandria as 2 couples from Australia. Prior to leaving home we arranged tours with [--]
which allowed for us to be met at the Port and then taken to Cairo to visit the Museum,
Sphinx and Pyramids with a Buffet lunch included. We then rejoined the Ship and travelled to Safaga. We were met again and taken to Luxor to visit The Valley of the Kings, Karnac Temple and other places of interest. This included a short boat trip on the Nile and a buffet Lunch at a very nice hotel.
We were very happy with the prompt and courteous service provided by the drivers and
the very knowledgeable guides. Although the tours were over long distances we were never concerned that the schedule would cause any problems in returning us to our ship on time.
Marwa was most helpful with the initial planning for our tours and the payment over the Internet was very secure.
It is our opinion that Memphis Tours can be relied on to make your tours in Egypt most enjoyable. The costs were very competetive with the tours offered by the Cruise Ship and from the reports we heard from fellow passengers who used the ship tour, ours was a much more personal service.
Transport was by comfortable Air-conditioned Mini-Bus.
