Day 1: Arrival Istanbul

Your English-speaking driver and guide will meet you at Istanbul Airport to escort you to your hotel. Check into your room and relax for the afternoon. Enjoy a welcome cocktail with a briefing about Turkey. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2: Istanbul

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up to visit several synagogues, including Neve Shalom and Ahrida Synagogue. Continue to visit the Hippodrome where chariots raced during the Roman period, Hagia Sofia, and the Blue Mosque. Return to your hotel and overnight in Istanbul.

Day 3: Istanbul

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up to visit Istanbul’s historic Jewish quarter, Galata. You will see the Galata Tower, built by the Genoese in 1303, and then visit Topkapi Palace with its priceless collection of jewels. Finish the day shopping at the Grand Bazaar before returning to your hotel and overnight in Istanbul.

Day 4: Istanbul – Cappadocia

After breakfast, transfer to Istanbul Airport for a flight to Kayseri then drive to Cappadocia to visit the rock-cut churches and monasteries. Continue to Pasabag and Zelve where you will see the unusual "fairy chimneys'' and rock formations that make Cappadocia’s landscape famous. Visit the spectacular Cappadocian valleys and villages such as Uchisar, Goreme and Ortahisar. Check into your hotel for dinner and overnight in Nevsehir.

Day 5: Cappadocia

After breakfast at your hotel, drive to the underground city of Kaymakl so that you can wander through the city’s many complex tunnels, dwellings and storage rooms. You will continue to old Sinassos (Mustafapasa), which is famous for its houses with beautifully painted facades. Drive to Avanos to visit a pottery makers and then return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Konya - Pamukkale

After breakfast at your hotel, drive to Konya, the ancient Seljuk capital with its huge monastery complex and shrine of the mystic Mevlana, inspiration of the rite of whirling dervishes. Then drive to Pamukkale, with its strangely formed natural thermal baths and hot springs. Spend the afternoon relaxing in these natural ‘spas’. Overnight in Pamukkale.

Day 7: Ephesus

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up to spend a full day exploring the jewel of Turkey's ancient past, the ruins of Ephesus. The archaeological excavations begun in 1869 have uncovered well-preserved main streets, squares, temples, theaters and houses. Visit the Great Amphitheater, and stroll down the Marble Way to the magnificent Library of Celcus. Drive to Izmir for overnight.

Day 8: Izmir

After breakfast we will visit the Senora Synagogue (if possible) and Havra Street in Izmir where Jewish immigrants settled in 1492. Then continue to Sardes, where we will visit one of the important historical cities of western Anatolia, the capital of the Lydian State. Sardes has rich architectural works reflecting its magnificent past. See the Temple of Artemis, the mint house where coins were made, the gold purifying center, shops, gymnasium and the synagogue which was built first in the 4th century BC and rebuilt in the 3rd century AC to its present day size after being destroyed by an earthquake. Back to your hotel and overnight in Izmir.

Day 9: Fly to Istanbul

After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to airport to take your flight to Istanbul. Arrival Istanbul. Transfer to your hotel and overnight in Istanbul.

Free day to explore the exotic city that spans both Europe and Asia, Istanbul.

After breakfast, transfer to Istanbul Airport for final departure. End of our services.
