Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival Nairobi - Welcome to Kenya

Upon landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be welcomed by our representative, who will assist with your transfer to the Nairobi Serena Hotel.

Day 2: Amboseli National Park

This morning after breakfast, your driver-guide will pick you up as you begin your journey to Amboseli National Park, part of the best Safari in Kenya experience. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at the lodge before heading out on a thrilling game drive across the park, which lies at the base of Africa’s highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro. The snow-capped mountain towers above the plains, creating one of Africa’s most iconic backdrops.

Although Amboseli covers just 150 square miles, its fragile ecosystem sustains an impressive variety of wildlife, with more than 50 species of large mammals and over 400 bird species. As the sun dips below the horizon, return to your lodge for dinner and a restful overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park

This morning, set out on a game drive through Amboseli, famed for its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest peak at 19,341 feet. The park is renowned for offering the best chance to encounter majestic elephants up close. You may also come across Cape buffalo, zebra, wild dogs, and other wildlife roaming the plains. During the warmer midday hours, unwind and enjoy the comforts of your lodge. In the afternoon, head back out for another exciting game drive before returning for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Lake Elementaita

Following breakfast, depart for Elementaita with a stop in Nairobi for lunch. Continue your journey under the spirit of Footprints of Africa and arrive in Elementaita by late afternoon. Spend the rest of the day at leisure before enjoying dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park

Today, enjoy a full day of game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park, a shallow soda lake famous for its vast flamingo population. At certain times, hundreds of thousands gather, covering the water in a pink glow. Lunch will be served at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive.

Day 6: Maasai Mara National Reserve

Enjoy an enroute game drive through Nakuru as you continue to the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most renowned wildlife reserve, arriving around 1600hrs. On arrival, set out for a game drive before heading to your camp for dinner and overnight.

The Maasai Mara is without doubt Kenya’s most celebrated reserve, widely known and frequently visited. Much of the film Out of Africa was shot here. It boasts abundant wildlife, including the Big Five, and offers the unforgettable sight of the Great Migration—millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles crossing from the Serengeti into the Mara between late June and October. Bird enthusiasts will also delight, with over 450 recorded species.

Day 7: On Safari in Maasai Mara

Start your day with muffins and coffee before heading out on another sunrise game drive. Each drive offers a unique experience, and with the intimacy of small camps, outings can be customized to the group’s interests. Your guide may pause for an extended time if you encounter something extraordinary, like a lioness stalking her prey.

Return to the lodge for a late brunch, then spend the midday hours spotting wildlife from camp. After lunch and a short rest, set off again for an afternoon game drive. As the day ends, enjoy a refreshing sundowner while watching the Maasai Mara fade into night.

Balloon Safari

This can been undertaken during your second or third day in MaasaiMara. Kindly find here below a brief itinerary: Pick up from your lodge at 05. 30 Hrs and your will be transferred to the launching grounds. Embark on a 1-hour ride over the MaasaiMara National Park to enjoy magnificent birds’ eye view of the wild game in this reserve. The mighty Mara remains one of Kenya's best loved reserves habouring miles of wide savannah, rolling hills and riverine forest with huge grazing herds, bountiful birdlife and one of Africa's largest population of lions.

After an hour of awe-inspiring views, you will land to the welcome of a sumptious champagne breakfast in the wild. Thereafter, you will be transferred to your camp, game drive enroute. End of Balloon Safari

Day 8: Nairobi – Departure

After breakfast at the camp, it’s time to say goodbye to the Maasai Mara and begin your journey back to Nairobi. Travel along the Great Rift Valley, passing by the dormant Mount Longonot as well as the scenic Lakes Elementaita and Naivasha. Along the way, watch for roaming giraffes and gazelles before ascending the escarpment.

Arrive in Nairobi by early afternoon, where you’ll be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home. As your best safari Kenya adventure comes to an end, depart with memories of the wild and the promise of returning for another unforgettable journey.
