This fifth-century rock stronghold of King Kasyapa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, not only showcases Sri Lankan planning and urban architecture but also represents a pinnacle of craftsmanship and culture.

After exiting the cave, refresh yourself at a nearby freshwater brook before enjoying lunch, then drive back towards Udawalawe.
