Bait Al Zubair is a cultural foundation that was originally a private museum opened its doors to the public in 1998. Bait Al Zubair Museum is located in the old city of Muscat. It displays and houses some of the greatest Omani artifacts and collectables, including a group of conventional weapons, Jewelry, clothing, household items and some old models representing Omani rural and urban environments. It was funded by the museum’s founders, Al Zubair family. The museum’s collection of artifacts and displays is considered as the finest that is privately owned. The museum’s complex consists of five buildings (Bait Al Bagh, Bait Al Dalaleel, Bait Al Oud, Bait Al Nahdhah and Gallery Sarah) along with a garden that includes a number of traditional café and gift shop.
