Obviously during a 22 day trip we had numerous guides . All were excellent although we did have a problem understanding one but we were quickly given a repalcement. Mohamed Abdel Salam was our guide for the 5 day trip through the Western desert. Not only was he very helpful, he had a great sense of humour and we asked for him to be our guide when we returned to Cairo.
During our 22 days we had deliberately planned rest days but there was some presurre to take aditional tours but as we did prefer to have some time to ourselves we declined most and were happy to do our own thing.
Overall our impressions were of a very efficient tour company with reasonable prices As to the highlights, the White Desert on the full moon (not planned) was incredible and the Dahabiya trip on the Nile a much more relaxing and flexible way to experiece the sights than a Nile cruiser. It was also an incredible time to visit Egypt- very few touists and the locals very welcoming and always friendly. We would certainly recommend Memphis Tours to anyone who wished to visit Egypt, as the company will customise a tour to suit the travellers' requirements. Thank You Egypt and Memphis tours Kevin & David from Sydney. PS I would suggest flying between Aswan (or Luxor) & Cairo as the "first class train" was certainly a disappointment. The toilet was filthy with no water or toilet paper

Just returned from a cruise that stopped in Alexandria Egypt for 2 days. We booked our tour of Cairo with Memphis Tours and were Thrilled with our experience. The tour was amazing but honestly what made the trip was our guide Mohamed Abdel Salam. He is a walking encyclopedia! We learned so much not only about the history of Egypt and the sites we were seeing but the daily life of the Egyptian’s. I have to admit when we first booked the tour I was a little worried about our safety and wellbeing. But we felt safe the entire time and would not hesitate to return anytime.
Thanks Mohamed for a day that will not be forgotten anytime soon.

Six of our traveled to Egypt on a Norwegian tour with stops at Alexandria and Port Said. The booking of our reservations was very simple and economical and our tour guide Mohamed Abdel Salam was awesome! He was not only punctual, he was early both days and went out of his way to make sure we were informed on Egyptian history and all of the current events. With everything going on in Egypt right now, we felt very safe and comfortable with Mohamed and Kamel, our driver. I would definitely recommend Memphis Tours Egypt and Mohamed Abdel Salam for anyone traveling to Egypt.

I visited Cairo and Alexandria, Egypt with friends in October, 2011. We originally booked a one-day tour of Cairo with Memphis Tours, but because of the great experience we had with our tour guide (Mohamed Abdel Salam), we decided to confirm a second tour day. Mohamed is not only a wealth of information about Egypt and its history, but he's personable and has a great sense of humor. We learned so much and had such a great time with him that we booked a second day in Alexandria. I highly recommend Memphis Tours, but more specifically you should ask for Mohamed Abdel Salam he's the best!

Two couples traveling Egypt for the first time. I booked on line, crossing my fingers I picked a good company to show us Egypt. Well they did not disappoint. We visited Cairo, Dashur, Saqqara and Memphis during our two day stay. We stayed overnight at the Oberio Palace (Mena House) Hotel as booked by Memphis Tours. Stunning Hotel with loads of history, very nice hotel and the staff were top notch. We had a view of the Pyramids of Giza from our balcony...Awesome. They also have the best potato curry I have ever had! It was a vacation to remember. Our tour guide -Mohamed Abdel Salam was a wealth of information. He is very passionate about his country and it shows. Thanks Mohamed, and thank you to Abdo Younis for helping me plan this holiday as well as Hussien who picked us up and brought us to Cairo and returned us safely. Our vacation booked with Memphis Tours exceeded our expectations. We look forward to seeing Luxor in the future with Memphis Tours and the great people who work there. We hope they continue to show their beautiful country to the world. Cheers to all of you from a bunch of happy Canadians.
