Day 1: Arrival Athens

Arrival at the Athens airport, welcome assistance and transfer to the hotel to start your Greece Island Tours from Athens. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Athens.

Day 2: City Tour Athens

The day is dedicated to exploring the city of Athens. We begin with a panoramic tour to the most important monuments and landmarks of the city including the Panathinaiko stadium, the Zappeion, the temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, Syntagma square, the Parliament, the tomb of the unknown soldier, Schliemann's house, the Academy, the University, the National Library, and the old Parliament. Next we head for our guided visit to the Acropolis, including the Propylaea, the temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon, the Erechtheion. Later, we continue with a guided visit to the Acropolis museum voted one of the best museums in the world. Afternoon at leisure to explore Plaka, the picturesque old part of the city, and why not, some shopping at Ermou street, Overnight in Athens

Day 3:Corinth canal, Epidurals, Nafplion, Mycenae & Olympia.

After our breakfast we depart towards the Peloponnese. First stop will be at the impressive Corinth canal and we continue to Epidaurus with its theater, famous for its acoustics. Our day continues as we will be arriving in Nafplio for a short stop. Our next visit will be to Mycenae «rich in gold» as Homer mentions, with the Cyclopean walls, and the tomb of Agamemnon with the famous Lion’s Gate. In the afternoon, we will be crossing the mountains of the Peloponnese to arrive in Olympia for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Olympia & Delphi

Built on the banks of the River Alfios, Olympia is beautiful, green, and placid. We will enjoy a tour through the remains of the Ancient Olympia Complex (home of the original Olympic Games), including the Temple of Zeus, the Palaestra, and Phidias’s Workshop. We continue to the local museum, one of the richest in Greece, with the impressive statue of Hermes of Praxitelis. In the afternoon, we will start heading north, driving around Patras, over the impressive Rio-Antirio bridge, through Nafpaktos and Itea, to Delphi for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Delphi & Kalambaka

Delphi used to be the most sacred spot in the world and a pilgrimage center for many centuries in the antiquity. You will admire the Sanctuary of Apollo, walk the Sacred way, and visit the temple of Apollo, home of Pythia (the oracle). We continue to the local museum with the famous bronze statue of the Charioteer. In the afternoon we will be crossing the mountains of central Greece to arrive in Kalambaka for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Meteora & Athens

Delphi used to be the most sacred spot in the world and a pilgrimage center for many centuries in the antiquity. The order of excursions/visits may change depending on the departure date:

 

Departure dates:

 

  • November to March: Every Saturday and Sunday.
  • April to October: Daily except for Tuesday and Wednesday until 28/10, excluding 25/10 and 26/10.

 

  • Guiding during SIC tours and excursions may occasionally be bi-lingual (English – French).
  • For departures within Christmas Week, New Years’ week, and Greek Orthodox Easter week, please ask for itineraries may not be available or may be altered.

 

Prices:

Tour price currency is set to USD but you can pay in Euro or British pound. The prices quoted per person per tour all inclusive and prices are always updated to ensure you receive the best price possible. Prices valid until 30 Oct 2018, except during Christmas, New Year,and Easter
holidays.


Children Policy:
Each child travelling with two accompanying adults will  pay the following:
-  0 years to 1,99 years of age: Free of charge.
-  2 years to 4,99 years of age: 50% from the full rate.
-  5 years to 10,99 years of age: 75% from the full rate.
-  11+ pay full tour price as per adult person.

 If your tour includes airfare then an extra charge for child rate may apply.

 

Booking Terms:
- All rates are valid all international markets except European Market.

-In case there is no availability in the published hotels, you will stay in another hotel with the similar category.


- Tours that include mainland Greece only (no islands or cruise), can be booked on “sell and report” basis until 45 days prior to arrival. Bookings within less than 45 days prior to arrival, can only be made on a request basis.

- Tours that include staying on islands (but not Santorini or Mykonos), can be booked on “sell and report” basis until 45 days prior to arrival. Bookings within less than 45 days prior to arrival, can only be made on a request basis.

- Tours that include a stay in Santorini and/or Mykonos, can be booked on “sell and report” basis until 60 days prior to arrival. Bookings within less than 60 days prior to arrival, can only be made on a request basis.

- Tours that include a cruise, can only be made on a request basis.

-For tours that fall into more than one of the above cases, the stricter booking terms apply.

 

Cancellation Terms:
Cancellation requests should be sent via fax or emailed to provide the Company with written confirmation that your reservation should be cancelled.

In case you cancel your trip, the following scale of charges will be applied:

-  From the date of booking until 61 days before your arrival date, 15% of the entire tour price will be charged.

-  Between 60 and 30 days before your arrival date, 25% of the entire tour price will be charged.

-  Between 29 and 15 days before your arrival date, 50% of the entire tour price will be charged.

-  Between 14 and 7 days before your arrival date, 75% of the entire tour price will be charged.

-  Between 7 and 1 days before your arrival date, 100% of the entire tour price will be charged.

 

Tours that include staying in Mykonos or Santorini:

-  45 days or more prior to arrival: no charge / full refund to be 60 Days 

-  45-30 days prior to arrival: 20% cancellation fees to be 60 - 45 Days 

-  29-15 days prior to arrival: 50% cancellation fees to be 45 - 30 Days 

-  14-8 days prior to arrival: 75% cancellation fees to be 30 - 15 Days 

-  7-1 days prior to arrival and no-shows: 100% cancellation fees. to be 15 Days 


Tours that include a 3, 4 or 7-day cruise:

-  60 days or more prior to sailing:  No charge/ Full Refund

-  59-45 days prior to sailing: loss of deposit amount

-  44-15 days prior to sailing: 50% of the cost of the cruise portion of the tour

-  15-8 days prior to sailing: 75% of the cost of the cruise portion of the tour

-  7-1 days or non-shows: 100% of the cost of the cruise portion of the tour

 

For tours that fall into more than one of the above cases, the stricter cancellation terms apply.


Additionally, there are cancellation fees on all domestic flights. If you cancel a tour at any time, you will be subject to any fees according to airline’s cancellation policy. Also, be informed that Ferry tickets are non-changeable & non-refundable upon issuing the ticket.

Memphis Tours does not charge a cancellation fee for tours and excursions which is cancelled for disastrous reasons such as volcanoes, earthquakes, or any reason that is out of control. Memphis Tours cancellation policy will be applied if cancellation happens due to personal or business reasons.

Deposit and Balance of Payment:
A down payment (50%) will be required when you confirm your booking as requested and it can be paid by credit or debit card (Visa / MasterCard) via Version Secured payment system on our website. The balance of payment (50%) must be paid in full latest 30 days prior to arrival.

Tour Voucher:
After your trip is confirmed, we will email you with the final confirmation as a voucher to print and bring it with you. Details will include contact numbers for your tour operator, customer care and additional information for your convenience.
