In our tours we travel some trails of this exceptional forest. (6 hours each approximately duration of the excursion). After half a day of trekking, we have a good idea of the peculiarities of this unique ecosystem.

The park is furrowed by mountainous cords that divide it into valleys of very difficult access. Unlike other Patagonian Andean parks, it has forests near the sea coast, six kilometers long on the Beagle Channel. This forms the Lapataia bay, which in the Yamana language means “wooded bay” or “good wood bay”.

On the way back we will disembark on Bridges Island to explore a path of interpretation of flora and birds, telling them the history of the Yaman natives. On this island are the largest anthropogenic yámanas concheros in the region.

Being the largest island we touch the highest panoramic point from where we observe the magnificence of the Beagle Channel with the City of Ushuaia in the distance.

Is Latin America safe to visit?

Latin America is a very large continent, and there are many areas that are safe to visit. In most parts, tourists need only to exercise the caution that they would have in any vacation spot—pay attention to surroundings, wear a money belt, and avoid dark and deserted areas—to avoid becoming crime victims. The scenarios that involve tourists usually involve non-violent pick-pocketing or muggings. In South America, we recommend not to make it obvious that you’re a tourist. Try to not speak a foreign language out loud. In addition, you should keep valuable items such as your passport, camera, and your wallet in a pocket or bag in front of you. While sitting outside at a restaurant keep your things on your lap or tied to the foot of the chair.

Which languages are spoken in Latin America?

Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Uruguay, Colombia and Mexico: Spanish speakers.
Brazil: Portuguese
You will find most of the workers in tourism speak English and at least a third language.

Is it a common practice to give tips in Latin America?

Tipping is essentially a norm in bars, coffee shops, and restaurants. It’s recommended to tip chauffeurs and guides during transfers and paid excursions. In these cases, we suggest calculating the amount according to how satisfied you have been with the service.

What is the official currency in Latin America?

The currency changes depending on the country:
Argentina: Argentinean Peso (ARS)
Brazil: Brazilian Real (BRL)
Chile: Chilean Peso (CLP)
Uruguay: Uruguayan Peso (UYU)
Bolivia: Boliviano (BOB)
Peru: Sol Peruano (PEN)
Colombia: Colombian Peso (COP)
Guatemala: Quetzal (GTQ)
México: Mexican peso (MXN)

Each currency is only useful for its respective country. It is not possible to use the currency of one country in another.

Do I need a visa to enter Latin American Countries?

It depends on your country of origin and the country you want to visit. It is necessary to check with your migration department.
