Day 1: Sri Lanka Arrival

Upon arrival at Colombo International airport, you will be met by our welcome ambassador and escorted to your hotel in Bentota, where you will be assisted with Check-in.

Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: Sri Lanka

After breakfast, enjoy sightseeing near Bentota. There is a varitety of places to visit Kalugala Monastery, Makeli Ella Fall and Fa-Hsien Cave.

Evening return back to hotel and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: Sri Lanka

After breakfast enjoy walk through the estate and wander through the lower rubber and tea plantations and trek the upper portion of the estate for spectacular views.

Optional Activity:

Water Sports: Bentota is the island’s water sports capital. Activities range from jet skiing and waterskiing atop the lagoon to diving, fishing and snorkeling out at sea. Bentota’s 4km stretch of beach is beautiful.

Bird watching: the house acts as a luxurious hide for glimpsing birds and wildlife from the comfort of the indoors.

Day 4: Koggala Tour

After breakfast, check out from hotel and drive towards Galle. On arrival check in at hotel and enjoy sightseeing near Galle. There are various places to visit: Galle Fort, Galle Light house, Tea Trail and Temples.

Day 5: Continuing Koggala

After breakfast, day is free for leisure.

Optional activity:

Whale Watching: take a boat trip to see these amazing creatures just an hour or so off the southern coast. Whilst out spotting Blue Whales or Sperm Whales, you may well see Spinner Dolphins and Bottle Nosed Dolphins.

Boat Trip: Take a boat trip on Koggala Lake for approximately two hours, visiting Talathuduwa Temple Island, followed by a Spice Garden. Then back in the boat and on to a small island where you will meet a couple who harvest cinnamon. Finally in the boat you circle a Bird Sanctuary before returning across the Lake for the tuk tuk ride back to the hotel.

Udawalawe National Park: Visit Udawalawe National Park, which was created in 1972 to provide habitat for wild animals, especially elephants. Covering 120 square miles, the park is inhabited by a herd of approx 250 elephants, as well as many other mammals and birds.

Bike Ride: Explore the area on bicycles, and experince the real Sri Lanka. We can arrange an escorted bike ride down to the coast, via paddy fields, finshing up at Wijaya for a swim and a cocktail.

Cookery Class: For those interested in learning more about Sri Lankan Rice and Curry, our Chefs will be happy to conduct a cookery class. Using recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation, this is a truly fascinating experience.

Day 6: Welcome Tangalle

After breakfast, check out and drive towards Tangalle. Upon arrival check in at hotel.

Day 7: Tangalle Tour

Spend the day at leisure.

After breakfast, places to visit:

Mulgirigala Rock Temple: this temple is set on an isolated butte rising 210 Metres from the forest floor.

Tea Plantation visit: Learn about the island’s history of tea growing from Amanwella’s own experts over an afternoon cup, or visit the plantations with a guide.

Visits to traditional villages or artisans’ studios offer other insights into Sri Lankan culture within easy reach of Amanwella.

Spa and Wellness Experiences: You can enjoy massages and body treatments, using all natural products,.

Day 8: Proceeding Tangalle

After breakfast, enjoy the day at leisure and later you can enjoy the visit: Turtle watching, Village visit and Snorkeling

Day 9: Rest of Tangalle

Todya, day is free for leisure on the beautiful beaches, where you can enjoy seabathing, sunbathing, swimming, surfing and snorkeling in the nearby villages like Medilla, Pallikaduwe, Mawella and Seenimodera.

Day 10: Kotugoda Tour

After breakfast, drive towards Negombo. Upon arrival check in at hotel and day is free for leisure.

Optional activity:

Rejuvenating Treatments: Ayurveda therapies have been conceived with real people in mind and are designed specifically to rejuvenate. Tour price currency is set to USD but you can pay in Euro or British pound. The prices quoted per person per tour and prices are always updated to ensure you receive the best possible price. Prices are valid all the year, except during Christmas 2019 and New Year 2020.

Child Policy

- 0 - 4.99 Free of Charge

- 5 - 10 pay 25% of tour price

- 11 - 11.99 pay 50% of tour price

- 12+ pay full tour price as per adult person

Note: If the tour package includes flights, trains, jungle safari, private monument, an extra supplement will be applicable to the child.

Payment Policy

An invoice shall be generated, once received confirmation on a tour. The deposit 50% of the total cost, will be required at the time of confirmation. You can pay by bank transfer or credit card. This deposit counts as part of your final payment. The balance 50% is payable 30 days before the commencement of the tour plus any applicable insurance premiums.

Note: Kindly note that in special cases wherein a hotel requires 100% payment in advance (during festive period i.e. Pushkar Fair, Christmas, New Year, etc.), will be payable along with 50% tour deposit. As per hotel policy, this amount will not be refundable.

Tour Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your booking at any time prior to commencement of the tour by notifying us in writing. The cancellation charges shall be as follows:

  • If you cancel before 45 days of tour commencement date, there will be no cancellation fees, except components which require per booking (train, flight and safaris).
  • If you cancel on or before 44-30 days of tour commencement date, 25% of the entire tour price will be charged.
  • If you cancel on or before 29-15 days of tour commencement date, 50% of the entire tour price will be charged.
  • Less than 14 Days before arrival 100% cancellation will be applicable.
Changes By You

If you request any changes to your travel arrangements once we have confirmed a booking, all out of pocket charges, including charges imposed by our suppliers, will be payable by you. If after the commencement of your tour you request any changes to your travel arrangements, we will do our best to implement them, but we cannot guarantee that it will be possible. In the event of such change(s) being made, you will be liable for any cancellation charges that may be levied for the previously booked service and for any costs incurred by us and our suppliers in attempting to secure any revised arrangements. Any name changes must be provided to us in writing and are subject to any airline/ train fees or penalties.

Passports & Visa Fees

All Passengers are responsible for securing proper documentation prior to joining the tour. Passports are required; in addition, travelers are advised to check with local consulates for full details regarding Visa requirements. Please note securing a valid visa for entry is sole responsibility of the traveler.
