Day 1: New Delhi

Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be Greeted and Escorted by our Executive to your Hotel. On arrival at hotel check in.

Day 2: Continuing New Delhi

In the morning, free tours, with car and driver, of the capital of the Indian Union, the New and the "Old Delhi".
Departure from the hotel and transfer to Patel Chowk metro station. Subway trip to Old Delhi: Chawri Bazar. Rickshaw tour in Old Delhi, to the Jama Masjid mosque, one of the largest in India. In the center of the bazaar, this gigantic building spreads an atmosphere of peace and serenity. Take a stroll to the Chandni Chowk bazaar continue to the Raj Ghat where Gandhi was cremated in 1948.


Continue proceed to New Delhi, the buildings designed by Edward Lutyens - architect of the modern city - are majestic. The Presidential Palace, the Parliament and the India Gate appear as reminiscences of the British Empire. Next visit the Qutub Minar, dating from the twelfth century


In the afternoon, transfer to the station and board the night train (2nd class air-conditioned) that will take you to Jaisalmer, in the desert of Thar. We advise you to buy fruit, biscuits and mineral water for the journey. Tea is often provided on board, but food on board trains - when there is, is not to everyone's taste. Departure at 17:45 (schedule subject to change).

Day 3: Jaisalmer Tour

Arrival at the beginning of the afternoon at Jaisalmer, the golden city of yellow sandstone. Welcome and start of visits to this remarkable city. At sunset, excursion in the desert of Thar and camel ride.

Day 4: Jodhpur Arrival

In the morning, visit of the fortified city through the maze of alleys: you can observe the Gadisar reservoir and the small folk museum. You will then go to the ramparts of the upper town, which will allow you to admire the splendid "havelis", houses of rich merchants, beautifully carved in stone. Continue walking to the fort and walk in the city. Visit the Jain Parsvanatha temple, embedded in a magnificent ensemble of five shrines.

In the afternoon, departure to the village of Manvar (170km, about 3h drive). From the village, located on the main road Jaisalmer / Jodhpur. In a beautiful landscape, the tents are spread over the dunes.


Later enjoy a Camel Safari in the surrounding desert. Many gazelles and antelopes populate the region. Night at camp (from October to March) and evening around the fire, accompanied by musicians and dancers from the desert.


From April to the end of September, the accommodation will take place at the village hotel which turns out to be composed of pretty bungalows and be arranged, despite the aridity of the region, in a green area with swimming pool.

Day 5: Continuing Jodhpur

Today we will drive towards Jodhpur (110km, about 2h30). The ancient capital of Marwar State, nestled at the foot of its huge red sandstone fortress, was founded by Rao Jodhaji in 1459. The city appears as a pleasant oasis to the traveler who has just crossed the Thar desert.

Its nickname of "blue city", comes from the large neighborhoods of Brahmanes, houses painted this purple-blue color, which give the city a soothing atmosphere. Walk in the bustling rural bazaar of Sardar, at the foot of the citadel, in the evening.

Day 6: Rohet Tour

In the morning, visit of the impressive fort of Mehrangarh & Jaswant Thada. In the afternoon, drive to the small village of Rohet (46km, about 1:15). Upon arrival check in to the Palace. Later proceed with jeep through the villages of the surrounding countryside to meet the Bishnoi ecological community. Overnight at the Rohet family's country house, where is also the family stud farm, housing their beautiful 'marwari' horses, famous for their pointed curved ears. People who can ride horses can ask for a horse ride in the area (to be paid directly).

Day 7: Udaipur Arrival

In the morning, departure to Udaipur (280km). On the way, visit the magnificent Jain temples of Ranakpur (90km from Udaipur), carved with white marble. If you wish, a short walk in the surrounding countryside, before continuing to the "white city", Udaipur, between hills and lakes.

Evening boat trip on the lake and visit the Jag Mandir island.

Day 8: Continuing Udaipur

Day at your own pace with tour of Udaipur, famous for its temples and palaces. This city was founded in the 16th century by Prince Udai Singh. You'll be able to admire the beautiful City Palace on Lake Pichola, the Sahelion-ki-Bari (Queen's Ladies' Garden), decorated with flower beds and basins covered with lotus flowers, especially when rains are abundant. Free time to stroll in this pleasant city.

Day 9: Deogarh Arrival

Early morning departure to Deogarh (135km), in the Mewar countryside. On the way, free visit of the sites of Nagda and Eklingi. Arrival at the small palace of Deogarh. Walk in the surrounding countryside to discover rural lifestyles.

Day 10: Jaipur

After breakfast, you will take the rural train, which will allow you, over a distance of about twenty kilometers, to discover this means of local locomotion and to meet the local population. Then you will continue your journey by road to Jaipur (275km via Ajmer), the "pink city", capital of Rajasthan.
On arrival, check in at your hotel and end of the day free.
Optional tour: Enjoy Bollywood Movie in Jaipur (Hindi film).

Day 11: Proceeding Jaipur

In the morning, yoga class at your hotel. Then, excursion to Amber Fort (AMBER FORT ascent in Jeep 4X4), the old capital of the princes of Jaipur, maze of temples, palaces and gardens.
Free tour: In the afternoon, free visit of the city: the palace of Maharaja, home to various museums, the Hawa Mahal or 'Palace of the Winds', Baroque façade from which the women of the courtyard could observe, without being seen, the parades and street parades. You will also visit the Jai Singh II Observatory, built by this passionate astronomy prince.

In the evening, rickshaw ride to Jaipur (2 people per rickshaw) in the Old Market. Later enjoy a cooking demo with an Indian family.

Day 12: Agra Tour

Early morning, drive to Agra. On the way, visit the impressive heritage site of Fatehpur Sikri. This ancient capital of the Mughal Empire, was built by Emperor Akbar in a very varied architectural style, with the famous pavilion of the Jewels and the kiosk of the Astrologer. Upon arrival in Agra, check in at your hotel. Visit Mehtab Bagh (so you can admire the Taj from a different angle: the back, on the other side of the Yamuna River).

Day 13: Final Departure – Fly Back Home

In the morning, Battery Van or take a Horse Carriage (Tonga) ride from Parking to Taj Mahal entry Gate. Visit the world famous monument of India the Taj Mahal. Next visit Agra Fort, situated on the west bank of the river Jamuna. Afterwards, visit a local school in Agra and communicate with students.


Then enjoy your free time. The artisans of Agra are famous for the work of marble encrusted with precious stones. This ancestral work, transmitted from father to son over generations, proves to be remarkable. Discover a marble workshop in Agra. Also enjoy Henna experience on hands. Mehandi is an essential part of Indian traditions. In weddings ceremonies (marriage, vivah), or festivals like Karva Chaudh Special or Mubarak Eid, Mehandi plays a vital role in most ceremonies & festivities in India. Later drive towards Delhi, upon arrival have your farewell dinner at a restaurant. Later transfer to the International airport to connect flight for your onward destination

Prices:

Tour price currency is set to USD but you can pay in Euro or British pound. The prices quoted per person per tour and prices are always updated to ensure you receive the best possible price. Prices valid all the year, except during Christmas 2018 and New Year 2019.

 

 

Child Policy:

- 0 - 4.99 Free of Charge

- 5 - 10 pay 25% of tour price

- 11 - 11.99 pay 50% of tour price

- 12+ pay full tour price as per adult person

 

Note: If the tour package includes flights, trains, jungle safari, private monument, an extra supplement will be applicable to the child.

 

 

Payment Policy: 

An invoice shall be generated, once received confirmation on a tour. The deposit 50% of the total cost, will be required at the time of confirmation. You can pay by bank transfer or credit card. This deposit counts as part of your final payment. The balance 50% is payable 30 days before the commencement of the tour plus any applicable insurance premiums. 

Note: Kindly note that in special cases wherein a hotel requires 100% payment in advance (during festive period i.e. Pushkar Fair, Christmas, New Year, etc.), will be payable along with 50% tour deposit. As per hotel policy, this amount will not be refundable.  

 

 

Tour Cancellation Policy:

You may cancel your booking at any time prior to commencement of the tour by notifying us in writing. The cancellation charges shall be as follows:

  • If you cancel before 45 days of tour commencement date, there will be no cancellation fees, except components which require per booking (train, flight and safaris).  
  • If you cancel on or before 44-30 days of tour commencement date, 25% of the entire tour price will be charged.
  • If you cancel on or before 29-15 days of tour commencement date, 50% of the entire tour price will be charged. 
  • Less than 14 Days before arrival 100% cancellation will be applicable. 


Changes By You: 

If you request any changes to your travel arrangements once we have confirmed a booking, all out of pocket charges, including charges imposed by our suppliers, will be payable by you. If after the commencement of your tour you request any changes to your travel arrangements, we will do our best to implement them, but we cannot guarantee that it will be possible. In the event of such change(s) being made, you will be liable for any cancellation charges that may be levied for the previously booked service and for any costs incurred by us and our suppliers in attempting to secure any revised arrangements. Any name changes must be provided to us in writing and are subject to any airline/ train fees or penalties.

 

Passports & Visa Fees:

All Passengers are responsible for securing proper documentation prior to joining the tour. Passports are required; in addition, travelers are advised to check with local consulates for full details regarding Visa requirements. Please note securing a valid visa for entry is sole responsibility of the traveler.
