Western Group of Temples - World Heritage Site, splendid examples of Indo-Aryan architecture, are famous because they are covered by reliefs and statues that animate the inert surface of a buzzing and complex life and in particular for the numerous sculptures that represent erotic figures in the infinite positions of Kamasutra. Mysterious is the choice to build temples in this location: Khajuraho is located in an isolated position, far from the big centers, which has made their construction uncomfortable, but probably, at the same time, has allowed to preserve the temples from the desecrations that during the invasions the Muslims inflicted on the temples of the rest of India.
Continue your tour with a visit to the Temples of the Eastern group: These temples can be divided into two groups: the first is bounded by a wall inside which there are some Jain temples. The other temples are instead scattered in the ancient village of Khajuraho and in the neighboring countryside. Among the temples of the first group are the Parsvanath Temple, the Adinath Temple, the Shanti Nath Temple. Among the temples of the enclosure Parsvanath Temple is the largest of the Jain temples and boasts beautiful sculptures. Return to your hotel. Dinner & Overnight at the hotel

Most of these date to between the 15th and 18th century – when the city was the thriving seat of government for the Bundela kings – and make for a sensory day of sightseeing, with main attractions including the intricate palace of Jahangir Mahal, the 14 Cenotaphs and the white-washed Ram Raja Temple.
