Day 1: Arrival Kochi - Welcome to India

Upon your arrival, you will be met by our representative and get transferred to your hotel at Kochi, also known as Cochin and overnight there. Your India and Sri Lanka Tour will begin from India!

Day 2: Kochi City Tour

After breakfast, enjoy Kochi city tour. First, you will visit The Jewish Synagogue that is magnificently decorated by Chinese tiles and Belgian chandeliers. Giant scrolls of the Old Testament can be found here. Then, you will visit St. Francis Church which is the oldest church built by Europeans in India. (It remains closed on Fridays and Saturdays). After that, you will visit the Dutch Palace that was originally built by the Portuguese. Later, in the 17th century, the Dutch modified it and presented it to the Raja of Kochi. Coronation of many Rajas of Kochi was held here. (It remains closed on Fridays). Then you will see the Chinese Fishing Nets (Cheenavala) that are distinctly unique to Cochin. It is believed that traders from the court of the Chinese ruler Kublai Khan introduced these nets here. Oddly, these nets are found only in Kochi, outside China! After enjoying your day, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Kochi and Overnight there.

Day 3: Thekaddy Trip

Your India and Sri Lanka Tour will give you the chance to live the adventurous life. After breakfast, you will be driven to Periyar National Park which is one of the 16 Project Tiger Reserves in India and is amongst the most picturesque wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Here it is possible to see large herds of Indian Elephant with relative ease as well as Nilgiri Langur near Aranya Niwas and the Lion Tail Macaque in higher areas. After your trip in Periyar, you will be transferred to your hotel. After some rest, enjoy a visit to the aromatic spice plantations of Thekkady. You will see various species of spices and other aromatic plants/herbs. Then, you will be back to your hotel and overnight at Thekkady.

Day 5: Allapuzha - Alleppey Houseboat

After breakfast, you will be driven to Alleppey and board the Houseboat (Kettuvallom) on the World famous Backwaters of Kerala. “Kettu" literally means to tie up and & Vallom; means ”boats. Boat cruise around the backwaters. These backwaters represent a unique geological formation and the basis of a distinct lifestyle. Travelling on backwaters is one of the highlights of a visit to Kerala. The boats cross shallow, palm-fringed lakes studded with cantilevered Chinese fishing nets.Then, you will overnight in Alleppey Deluxe Houseboat.

Day 6: From Alappuzha to Kumarakom

Disembark the houseboat and then you will check in at your hotel in Kumarakom and overnight there.

Day 7: From Kumarakom to Mararikulam

After breakfast, you will be driven to Mararikulam. Marari offers endless miles of superb sand beaches backed by swaying palms, virgin territory where you can experience the local charm and traditional Kerala Hospitality at its best. Overnight in your Hotel.

Day 9: From India to Colombo

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airport to board the flight to Colombo. On arrival at Colombo International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Colombo.

Day 10: Sri Lanka's Wildlife Trip - Habarana

After your delicious breakfast, you will be taken to the road for a day discovering Sri Lanka’s wildlife and heritage. The first stop is the enchanting Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, which was founded in 1975 with just five calves and has more than 100 today. Here, they are fed, bathed and allowed to roam freely. Catch sight of them at feeding time – a bottle for the calves and coconut leaves for the adults – and then watch these gentle giants frolicking in the waters of the River Maha Oya at bath time. After this fun and wild interlude continue to Dambulla. You will visit the Dambullala Rock temple. In the city of Dambulla lies a hub which has been treasured by many kings since the 1st century B.C. Today, an icon in the face of Sri Lanka, Dambulla Rock Temple houses some of the unique drawings in magnificently constructed 5 cave temples flanking the golden temple of Dambulla. As you enter the retreat, look straight up to the gigantic Buddha statue glittering in gold over a land, which today houses an important junction in the country's economic and cultural uplifting. After enjoying your day, you will return to your hotel and overnight in Dambulla.

Day 11: Habarana City Tour

Begin on a high with a climb to the fifth century Sigiriya fortress, which sits atop a rock that dramatically rises almost 200 meters above the rainforest King Kashyapa built a citadel at the top of this giant boulder known as the ‘Lion Rock’, which was the innermost stronghold of a vast fortified city. Pass through the lion’s ‘belly’ and climb to the top via a spiral staircase that snakes its way around the rock. From the summit, enjoy breathtaking views over the surrounding landscape and beyond into the horizon. In the afternoon, discover the well-preserved ruins of the ancient city of Polonnaruwa. Built about 1,000 years ago, it features a large artificial lake, which is still in use and feeds a network of irrigation canals, the remains of a royal palace and a number of temples and administrative buildings. Admire the Gal Viharaya with its four statues of the Buddha carved out of rock, the Audience Hall, the Lotus Bath and the statue of King Parakramabahu. Contemplate also the Shiva Temple, the Lankathilake, the Watadage, the Galpotha and much, much more. At the end of the day, you will return to your hotel and overnight in Dambulla.

Day 12: Kandy City Tour

After breakfast, you will proceed to Kandy. En-route you will visit a spice and herb garden in Matale Sri Lankan spices such as turmeric, nutmeg, cardamom, cinnamon and lemon grass are considered among the best in the world. Also, you will witness a cookery demonstration and learn about the culinary and therapeutic values of these products. Then, proceed to Kandy and check in at your hotel. Afternoon, you will proceed on a city tour of Kandy. Kandy - the World Heritage Site & last royal capital of Sri Lankan kings - crafts an array of culture, history, and heritage in the minds of visitors across the globe. Experience an ancient Kandyan legacy engraved around its crown jewel, the temple of the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha. You will stroll across this small lakeside town - cradled among the misty hills. Also, you will feature the Kandy City Centre - bundled with latest and world class brands, bazaar, an arts & crafts center, as well as a gem museum & lapidary. Then, you will drive towards Victoria Golf Course, undoubtedly one of the best golf courses in the world for a sweep blended with class and style. Or walk in color as you glide through fresh fruits and vegetables in the Kandy market. Fine tune your evening by stepping to the beat of traditional music & drumming amplified by a cultural show enhancing the rich and vibrant culture of the Wonder of Asia, Sri Lanka. After that, you will return to your hotel and overnight in Kandy.

Day 13: Nuwara Eliya Tour

After breakfast, you will check-out and proceed to Nuwara Eliya via Peradeniya. First developed as a pleasure garden under royalty and later harmonized by the British, today bundled with the most welcoming facilities located just 4 miles off Kandy - is a flourishing national asset in the Wonder of Asia. You will walk into this 147-acre bliss of an experience, passing well-tended lawns, pavilions & an octagon conservatory to be greeted by the vast expanse of a magnificently landscaped lush green turf which will encourage you for an exhilarating break. Towards the north of the entrance, rests a cafeteria that one might come across before stepping into some of the highlights - the orchid house & giant Javan fig tree - of this place which overflows in grace. Then, continue your journey to Tea Plantation. Sri Lanka, Tea, and Tourism are words which cannot be separated. Take a tour to the cold & misty hills that take pride of an ultimate tea tour, covering lush green blankets of tea plantations. Or just step into a tea factory processing the prestigious brand of Ceylon Tea, to observe a rich tradition kept alive up to date. As you observe the hissing and swishing of machines, inhaling the heavenly scent arising from these facilities, make sure to end your day in style with a perfectly blended cup of pure Ceylon Tea. After that, you will proceed to Nuwara Eliya and check-in. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 14: From Nuwara Eliya to Negombo

After breakfast, you will explore Nuwara Eliya. Travel through the Misty steep roads, twisting through lush green blankets of tea bushes in a cool climate, remind visitors that they are within the range of the renowned British colonial retreat, Nuwara Eliya. Augmented by an English countryside atmosphere, the city of light is one of the finest 18-hole golf courses in the world. A hike through the green grass and red-brick walls should present breathtaking views of a buzzing countryside hamlet. You will drive through green valleys of the hill country pierced by endless waterfalls & dotted by tea pluckers draped in bright-colored saris. Afternoon Proceed to Negombo. Upon arrival, check-in and overnight in Negombo.

Day 15: From Colombo to Kochi - Fly Home

After your morning breakfast, you will Check-out and Store your luggage with the hotel Concierge. Later, you will proceed to see the throbbing metropolis. Colombo - located in the West - is not only the country's commercial capital but also the turbine that impels above 50% of the national GDP flanking Colombo's fancy urban development effort. Drive along the clean streets edging the crystal white Race Course - horse racing hub in 1893 & World War II airstrip - furnished today with lavish clothing, food & tea boutiques. Meanwhile, ride to Pettah & tune into the Floating Market - an offbeat shopping experience - or feel the buzz surrounding the upcoming inspiration, the Colombo Port City - an offshore city - featuring parks, commercial complexes & even an F1 track! Head along Bauddhaloka Mawatha towards 'Arcade' facing a historic waypost, the Independence Square. Smell the scent of incense while listening to the chiming bells of Gangarama temple. Or, jazz up to Colombo's nightlife spiced by night clubs & casinos that borderline its bustle. Later, you will be transferred to the Colombo Airport to board the flight for onward journey.

Prices:

Tour price currency is set to USD but you can pay in Euro or British pound. The prices quoted per person per tour and prices are always updated to ensure you receive the best possible price. Prices valid all the year, except during Christmas 2018 and New Year 2019.

Payment Policy: 

Reservations should be made as early as possible to book your desired India tour, spaces will be secured upon receiving a deposit of 50 %. This deposit forms part of your final payment. Deposits can only be made by credit cards, wire transfer and or the Western Union, and the balance of payment to be paid one week before tour start date.

 

Note: Kindly note that in special cases wherein a hotel requires 100% payment in advance (during festive period i.e. Pushkar Fair, Christmas, New Year, etc.), will be payable along with 50% tour deposit. As per hotel policy, this amount will not be refundable.  

 

Tour Cancellation Policy:

You may cancel your booking at any time prior to the commencement of the tour by notifying us in writing. The cancellation charges shall be as follows:

 

- From the date of booking until 45 days before your arrival date, 15% of the entire tour price will be charged.

- If you cancel on or before 44-30 days of tour commencement date, 25% of the entire tour price will be charged.

- If you cancel on or before 29-15 days of tour commencement date, 50% of the entire tour price will be charged. 

- Less than 14 Days before arrival 100% cancellation will be applicable. 


Changes By You: 

If you request any changes to your travel arrangements once we have confirmed a booking, all out of pocket charges, including charges imposed by our suppliers, will be payable by you. If after the commencement of your tour you request any changes to your travel arrangements, we will do our best to implement them, but we cannot guarantee that it will be possible.

 

In the event of such change(s) being made, you will be liable for any cancellation charges that may be levied for the previously booked service and for any costs incurred by us and our suppliers in attempting to secure any revised arrangements. Any name changes must be provided to us in writing and are subject to any airline/ train fees or penalties.

 

Passports & Visa Fees:

All Passengers are responsible for securing proper documentation prior to joining the tour. Passports are required; in addition, travellers are advised to check with local consulates for full details regarding Visa requirements. Please note securing a valid visa for entry is the sole responsibility of the traveler.
