Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival New Delhi

Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be greeted by our representative outside Gate 5 with a name sign. He will welcome you with a garland of flowers and take a photo, he will take you to the hotel in a private car. Upon arrival at the hotel, he will perform check-in formalities. Overnight at the hotel.

DELHI: The Moderna capital of India is also a very ancient city whose origins are lost in legend. Hundreds of monuments adorn it, with its carved and millenary history. From this city numerous Hindu and Muslim dynasties, including the Mughals, ruled India. No less than 7 successive cities existed here before the arrival of the British, who would create, by the hand of Sir Edwin Lutyens, their dream capital.

Day 2: New Delhi City Tour

Breakfast. We will start the visit with a photo stop at the Red Fort, Chandni Chowk is located nearby, in times imperial avenue that Shah Jahan liked to ride along, and from there we will go to, passing through the alleys of old Delhi, Jama Masyid, one of the largest mosques in India, built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the seventeenth century.
Next, we will visit Gandhi's tomb and drive through the New Delhi area to see the India Gate, the Presidential Palace and the parliament. Then we will go to visit the temple of the Sikh religion and we will sit for about 10 minutes in the prayer hall to observe the visitors and listen to the prayer.

A visit to the New Delhi will allow us to discover the Qutab Minar (XII century), gracefully fluted and completely carved by hand on its shaft; nearby is the Iron Column, which has impassively attended to the misfortunes of Time and is not even rusty, after 1500 years of history.

Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur 256 KMS

Breakfast. In the morning, departure by road to Jaipur.
Jaipur: The pink city of Rajasthan. Jaipur is perhaps one of the most picturesque cities in the world. It was built according to the canons of the Shilpa Shastra, the ancient Hindu treatise on architecture. Divided into seven rectangular sectors, with well-laid streets, right angles, its planning is a marvel of eighteenth-century urbanism, when not even in Europe there was a similar systematization. Surrounded by steep hills at three of its heart points, the city is guarded by a powerful fortified wall, with seven gates.


In the afternoon, panoramic tour of the city of Jaipur, where in addition to an orientation tour of the pink city its bazaars, you will be able to contemplate the Albert Hall (Palace built by the Maharaja of Jaipur to commemorate the visit of King George of England), today converted into a museum, then we will visit the Birla temple of the Hindu religion. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 4: Jaipur - Amber Fort – Jaipur

Breakfast. In the morning, we will drive through the residential and business areas of the "pink city", passing in front of the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), one of the most well-known monuments of Jaipur. Next, we will go to Amber Fort, the former state capital until 1728. A unique experience: we will climb on the backs of elephants to access the top of the hill on which the fort stands.


Then, sightseeing tour of Jaipur (which takes its name from Maharajah Jai Singh, prince and astronomer, who designed and founded the city in 1727). We will get to know the astronomical observatory that the monarch himself built, equipped with instruments designed by himself, of considerable size, and whose precision is difficult to match even today. We will also visit the Maharaja's Palace, former royal residence and nowadays museum of manuscripts, Rajput and Mughal paintings and weapons. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 5: Jaipur - Monkey Temple - Abhaneri - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra 236 KMS

Breakfast. In the morning, departure at 07:30 hours to Agra visiting on route the monkey temple, the Abhaneri stepwell and Fatehpur Sikri
ABHANERI - This is Chand Baori a famous stepped well located in the village of Abhaneri near Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan. It is located in front of the Harshat Mata Temple and is one of the largest and deepest in India. It was built in the 9th century and has 3300 steps, 13 levels and 100 feet deep

Rebuilt in the 10th century, the incredible Chand Baori stepped well was a practical solution to the water problem in this area of India, where the arid climate forced the local inhabitants to make deep excavations in search of underground streams. According to a legend, the building was built by ghosts in a single night.


FATEHPUR SIKRI: Just over 40 kms from Agra is the dead city of Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned due to his inability to provide it with a water supply. The buildings of the city are incredibly preserved, notably the Jama Masjid Mosque, the tomb of Salim Chisti, the Panch Mahal and other places.

Day 6: Agra

Next, we will visit the Agra Fort, on the banks of the Yamuna River, in the heart of the city. It reflects the Indian architecture under three Mughal emperors: Akbar, Jehangir and Shah Jahan. Within the complex there are some interesting structures, such as the Jehangiri Mahal, the Anguri Bagh, the Khas Mahal and the Moti Masjid Mosque.
We will visit the Akbar Church, the most important Christian building in Agra bears the enigmatic name of "Akbar Church". The Church of Akbar founded in 1600 by the Jesuit fathers at the invitation of Emperor Akbar. This is the first Roman Catholic Church of the Mughal Era. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 7: Thimphu Village and Markets

Breakfast. We will continue by road to Delhi airport transferred for your flight to Buthan.
Arrival, assistance and transfer to Thimpu (55 Kms / 01 Hr.).
En Route Visit Simtokha Dzong, the ancient fortress of the Kingdom more now that it houses the School of Religious and Cultural Studies. Visit National Memorial Chorten: The construction of was completed in 1974.


THIMPU - The capital city of Bhutan and the center of government, religion and commerce, Thimphu is a unique city with an unusual mix of Moderna development along with ancient traditions. With a population of around 90,000, it is perhaps still the only capital in the world without a traffic light. In the afternoon, an exploratory walk along the main street of Thimphu and the market area. Also visit the Local Handicraft Bazaar, to explore examples of Bhutan's traditional fine arts. Here you can buy hand-woven textiles, Thangkha paintings, masks, ceramics, slate and wood carvings, jewelry, interesting items made from local materials.

Day 8: Thimpu

Breakfast. Panoramic tour of the capital. Hair Memorial Chorten Walk, a stupa dedicated to the third king of the country, the promoter of the development of Bhutan. Take the first steps to a Buddhist philosophy or contemplate the paintings and statues inside the monument.


Then, visit the Municipal Library, full of manuscripts, ancestral texts and wind horses (colored fabrics containing prayers), the Textile Museum, admiring the crowns and other royal accessories, and the Cultural Heritage Museum, a living book about the history it tells. to the rural life of Bhutan. Discover a Trashichhoedzong, religious and administrative center of Bhutan. A "fortress of glorious religion" and the summer house of the kingdom's monastic body. Day 9: Thimpu - Punakha

Breakfast. Early in the morning, departure to Punakha, passing through Dochu-la Gorge, 3,088 m, brief stop to admire the Stupa and the prayer flags that are placed on the highest point of the road. If the sky is clear, we can see the highest peak of the Himalayas in all its splendor. On the way, we can see some of the highest peaks (as long as weather conditions allow); on the way visit of Chimi Lhakhang Monastery. Continuation of the trip to Punakha, which before Timphu, was the winter capital of the country due to its more temperate climate; visit to Punakha Dzong, built in 1637 at the junction of the Phuchu and Mochu rivers.

Day 10: Punakha – Paro

Breakfast. Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, departure to Nezergang, after a walk you will find the Khamsum Yueley Namgyel Temple, built by the Queen Mother in 1999 for the protection of the country and universal peace. Continuation of the trip to Paro. Arrival and visit to the Rinpung Dzong Monastery, built in 1646 and whose name means "Fortress in many jewels". We will spend the night at the hotel.

Day 11: Work Stoppage

Breakfast. Departure to visit the Taktsang Monastery or Paro Taktsang, a Buddhist worship site spiked on the rock at more than 3000 meters high. After 1h walk, a break in the cafeteria to refresh and enjoy the beautiful view of the monastery.


After another step (approxiately 45 minutes), you will reach an observation point located at an altitude of 3140 meters. From here, the view over Taktsang is spectacular. The adventure continues (another 30 minutes approximately), making its way through narrow rails, overlooking the march, going the last steps to the monastery. Inside the safe you can find some temples and shrines and/or with the monks who are here here.

The name of Taktsang means "Tiger's Nest", according to an ancient legend, the holy Padmasambhava flew in a fabulous tiger. The place of indescribable beauty and the popular pilgrimage in the Himalayas. In the afternoon, take a walk to explore the shipments of the main street of Paro. Admire the typical Bhutanese architecture, crossing the monks and witness the tranquility of the locals, true ambassadors of the national custom.

Day 12: Paro Departure

Breakfast. In the morning transfer to the Paro airport to catch the flight back home.
