Day 1: New Delhi - Welcome to India

Upon your arrival, you will be Greeted and Escorted by our Memphis Tours Executive to your Hotel and then check in.

Day 2: Delhi City Tour

After breakfast, enjoy sightseeing of Old and New Delhi. First, visit the Red Fort (from outside). Inside, there are exquisite palaces and beautiful gardens. (Red Fort is closed on Monday). Then, you will go to Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque) that is made of red sandstone and white marble. It is India's largest mosque where more than 20.000 people can kneel in prayer at one time. After that, enjoy Rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk. Then, visit the Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi's Memorial, on the banks of the river Yamuna.
Later, you will drive through Lutyens Delhi and see India Gate and Govt Buildings. India Gate commemorates the 70,000 Indian soldiers who died in the 1st world war. Then, you will have a photo stop at Rashtrapati Bhawan, once the Viceroy's residence is now the official residence of the President of India. Later, you will have a visit to Qutub Minar the landmark of Delhi, a huge tower of victory started in 1199 and completed in 1368. After enjoying your day, you will return back to your hotel.

Day 3: Agra City Tour

After breakfast, you will be driven to Agra. It is a town famous for its beautiful medieval monuments. On arrival at Agra, you will be transferred to your hotel. Later, you will visit the world famous monument of India the Taj Mahal, a poem in white marble, built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaj Mahal (Taj Mahal remains closed on Fridays). After the visit, you will take a Tonga ride till Agra Fort, situated on the west bank of the river Jamuna. Tonga is a horse-drawn carriage which was a popular mode of transport in the olden times. Then, after enjoying your day, you will be back at your hotel.

Day 4: Welcome Jaipur

After breakfast, you will be driven to Jaipur "The Pink City". After checking in, spend the day at leisure.

Day 5: Jaipur Tour

After breakfast, enjoy the full day visit of Jaipur City, the largest city of Rajasthan. First, you will visit the Amber Fort which is one of the finest examples of Rajput architecture. Then, you will visit Hawa Mahal, the palace of the wind (Hawa Mahal) with 953 windows and niches which were made so that ladies of the royal family could see the procession and events in the city without being visible to the people.
In the evening enjoy Aarti Ceremony in Birla Mandir. “Aarti” is a very auspicious Hindu ritual in which they offer their prayers (traditional Hindi song) to God. The experience, the view, and the positive vibrations are so inspirational that it is difficult to put into. After that, you will go back to your hotel.

Day 6: Delhi - Fly to Athens

After breakfast, you will be driven to Delhi. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to the international airport to board your flight to Athens. Arrive at Athens airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7: City tour / Athens.

Explore the city of Athens. We begin with a panoramic tour to the most important monuments and landmarks of the city including the Panathenaic Stadium, the Zappeion, the temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, Syntagma square, the Parliament, the tomb of the unknown soldier, Schliemann's house, the Academy, the University, the National Library, and the old Parliament. Next, head to the Acropolis, including the Propylaea, the temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon, and the Erechtheion. Later, continue to visit the Acropolis museum, voted one of the best museums in the world. Afternoon at leisure to explore Plaka, the picturesque old part of the city, and why not, some shopping at Ermou street.

Day 8: Cruise to Aegina, Poros & Hydra / Athens.

Early breakfast and transfer to the port for a day cruise to the Saronic Gulf islands. First stop will be Hydra, a picturesque little “vehicle free” island, well-known to the international jet-set. Take a donkey ride, explore the little-cobblestoned streets and visit the Metropolis at your own pace. Next, visit the island of Poros with its clock tower facing the Peloponnese. Last comes Aegina, a weekend retreat for many Athenians. Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride or take an optional visit to the temple of Afea. Make sure to buy some pistachios, as Aegina is world-famous for its production. A buffet lunch will be served on board. On the way back you will have the opportunity to see and participate in some traditional Greek dances! Return and transfer to your hotel.

Day 9: At leisure / Athens.

Breakfast and day at leisure to explore more of the city on your own. Walking in Ermou street for some shopping, exploring Plaka, Monastiraki and Vision are some of your options for the day. As an alternative, you may join any of the available optional excursions (depending on the day of the week), to visit Delphi, or Argolis (Corinth Canal, Mycenae, Epidaurus) or Cape Sounion (Temple of Poseidon).

Day 10: Final Departure

Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

Price quotes are in US dollars per person per trip and are valid until April 30th, 2020. Please inquire for pricing over Christmas, New Year’s, and Easter holidays.

 

Children Policy

  • Up to 2 years: FREE
  • Age 2 up to 6 years: 50% of adult price
  • Age 6 up to 11.99 years: 75% of adult price
  • Ages 12 and Up: adult price

  • Children policy is applied to children who share rooms with their parents ( Maximum 1 Child sharing parent's room )
  •  If your tour includes airfare, trains, jungle safari additional charges for your children may apply.
  •  In Dubai and  Morocco : Children from 10 years are considered adults.

 

Payment Policy

Reservations should be made as early as possible to book the desired holiday. Space on a given tour will be secured upon receipt a deposit of 50% of the full price. This deposit counts as part of your final payment. Deposits can be made by bank wire transfer or sent via Western Union or paid using a credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Payment should be received within 7 days of booking.

 

Tipping


Tipping for a job well done is customary , though not required. Please feel welcomed but not obliged to offer a tip to your guide.
