Day 1: Arrival Kigali - Welcome to Rwanda
Arrive at Kigali International Airport and be transferred to your hotel, where you can spend the evening relaxing.
Day 2: Kigali City Tour - Drive to Ruhengeri
On your second day after breakfast start your Rwanda Wildlife Safari with Kigali for a city tour, with over hundreds of years of history. Once a German territory, visit the museum that shares all that is Rwanda with you as well as the craft center and Genocide Memorial site. After an exciting morning later drive to Ruhengeri home of the Volcanoes National Park.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking - Volcanoes Park - Lake Kivu
For the third day you register for your Gorilla trekking experience being paired into groups and briefed on what is to be expected. Trekking can take from two to six or more hours if the gorillas move before the park rangers locate them the next morning. The guides stop frequently to allow trekkers a chance to rest and take photos along the way.
After the trek, rejoin your driver Guide for a transfer to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, depart from foothills of the volcanoes and drive to Lake Kivu Serena arriving in the evening. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy optional activities offered at an extra cost.
Day 4: Kibuye - Nyungwe Forest National Park
Your fourth day takes you to Nyungwe for a beautiful canopy walk before a lovely dinner.
Day 5: Nyungwe Forest National Park
On the fifth day proceed to Nyungwe again where you trek the canopies for chimpanzees and forest bird life, in the afternoon visit the Tea plantation.
Day : Kigali - Fly Back Home
The next day you are free to enjoy leisure activities before departing for Kigali. The route takes you through scenic plantations lush green hills, before arriving in Kigali for your departure drive to Huye with a visit to the workshop of the Tin Smith of Huye. Lunch at Ibis Hotel. Visit the National Museum in Huye.

Prices are quoted in US Dollars per person per trip and valid until December 31.2020 except the peak period and migration Period, payment can be done in Sterling Pounds or Euro with no extra surcharge.

Children Policy above apply on itineraries/products/tours but it won’t work on the itineraries that have Gorilla Trekking or chimpanzee trekking as activities. The minimum age for Gorilla/Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda and Rwanda is 15 years old. Therefore you will need to adjust the Children Policy depending on which itineraries/products/tours.
- All tours will be booked and confirmed only upon receipt of a 45% deposit of the basic program rate. For gorilla permits, a full advance payment of the permit fee (USD $ 700 per permit person) for Gorilla tracking in Uganda and fee (USD $ 1500 per permit per person) for Gorilla tracking in Rwanda), and the chimpanzee permits (US$ 150 per permit per person) is required in order to make the reservation.
- The payment balance is due no later than 42 days prior to the safari, unless agreed otherwise.
- Bookings made within 42 days before arrival must be paid in full at the time of confirmation.
- If payment is not received in accordance with the above, Kubwa Five Safaris has the right to cancel the booking.
- Payments can be made by bank transfer to our bank account in Uganda. Transfer costs are to be paid by the client(s) before the start of the safari.
Note: Regretfully, payments with credit or debit card are not possible and traveler cheques are no longer accepted.
Memphis Tours offers a very flexible cancelation policy in case the government or the airline issues a travel warning from/to your departure country and destination. In the event that this happens, we will be refunding you the amount paid in full. Here at Memphis Tours we prioritize your well-being and safety above anything else and aim that our cancellation policy reflect that.
Like most countries, tipping is customary to show one's satisfaction with good services. You are in no way obliged to, however, if you’re willing to do so it would be well appreciated.
It is recommended to travel with soft bags such as duffle bags instead of hard shell bags as there is a strict 15KGS per person policy and makes it easier to fit in your safari vehicles.
