Tefnakht was the first king of the 24th Dynasty .

History:

In the Piankhy stela, he is called the "chief of the West," "chief of me," and "chief of Sais." He also gives himself titles as prophetic and royal titles. It is thought that his vigorous expansionist activities were the cause of an invasion from the south. The state of the country was rapidly declining at that time because there were two royal houses ruling Egypt . There were more than one king of the provinces claimed his legitimacy to the throne, and Tefnakht , who founded a new royal house for the 24th dynasty ,was one them. Tefnakht was not like the rest of princes, as he was quit ambitious person and he was capable of consolidating his authority over the west of the Delta and then the east until he united the whole Delta
