History:

Takelot I was the third king of the 22nd Dynasty . He was the successor to Osorkon II, but is shown to have had a co-regent, Sheshonq II , for a brief period before his reign began. He wanted to take all the fortune of the priests of Amon , so he removed Sheshanq the high priest and appointed his son Nemrod as a high priest of Amon in Thebes , as well as being previously the high priest of Ihnasia.
