King Sahure was the successor of king Oserkaf in the 5th dynasty .

History:

King Sahure was the first king to introduce the area of Abusir to the kings of the 5th dynasty to built their pyramids. Although he didn?t pay much attention to his pyramid to be like his predecessors, as he gave more care to the navy expeditions which were recorded on the walls of his temple in Abusir .

Monuments:

As previously mentioned, he built his pyramid in the area of Abusir and it is sometimes assumed that, in stead of building his own solar-temple, he in fact modified his father's and gave it another name.
