Red Rose Rock

Red Rose Rock:

The Red Rose city is the other name of Petra, as the name Petra means city of rock, and it was called the Rose Red City because of its natural pink color sandstone.

Location

Petra lies about 3-5 hours south of Amman the Jordanian capital, about 2 hours north of Aqaba.

How to reach

By Ferry boat:

You can reach Petra by the ferry boat , as you will be transferred to the Egyptian border Taba, take the ferry boat from Taba heights marina to Aqaba port, then transfer to Petra- the boat departs Taba at about 7 in the morning and arrives Aqaba at 8:30 ? the distance between Aqaba & Petra takes about 1 and half hour.

You can take the ferry boat from Nuwebaa port to Aqaba, the boat departs Nwuebaa at about 2:00 PM ? and arrives Aqaba at about 4:00 PM.

By Air:

You can take the flight from Cairo to Amman, then drive to Petra, the distance from Amman to Petra takes about 4 hours driving.
