History: King RamessesIII was the son of king SethNakhet, the founder of the 19th dynasty . He ruled for about 31 years and made great effort in controllong the country. King RamessesIII was the great worrier as he led many campaigns against the Libyans and the Indu-Europeans. The scenes of this battle are recorded on the walls of Madinet Habu . The scenes of Madinet Habu temple show that King RammesesIII saved Egypt by defeating the sea people whose danger was more important than the Hyksos. Another campaign, which was recorded on the temple of Madinet Habu, was that of king Rameeses III who regain what was lost after the time of Ramesses II . After the death of king Ramesses III, the Egyptian empire started to shrink and decline.
