Philae Temple

Location:
It is situated 3 miles from Aswan train station.

Who built it?
It was built by some of the Ptolemaic kings such as Ptolemy 8th and Ptolemy 12th.

Why was it built?
The temple was built on the honor of goddess Isis the chief deity of the island.
This temple is one of the temples which have been relocated after building the High dam ,Isis temple is the biggest one on Philae island which was built to honor Goddess Isis and to record Ancient Egypt`s most famous legend of Isis and Osiris
