
Dynasty: King Pepi II was one of the kigs of the 6th dynasty . He was the son of king Pepi I from his sister.
History: He was only 6 years when he ascended the throne under the co-regency of his mother ( Saw ). During his long reign,which was about 94 years, he sent three expeditions to Byblos and two others to Nubia. During his reign , the power of the monarchs was extremely enlarged as king Pepi II was not that powerful to control them and the Egyptian government started to collapse at that time.
Monuments: Pepi II had a funerary complex, situated in the south of Saqqara , as well as a lot of monumental pieces which are placed at the Egyptian museum .
