Merenptah was in his sixties when he followed his father on the throne. One of the most important things, that should be mentioned during his reign, is the campaign that he send to Asia which was mentioned on his famous stelae of Israel. He ruled for about 11 years and was burried in his tomb in the valley of the kings .
