
| Dahab was made from a natural delta which created by the Nile floods from Wadi Dahab. Over thousands of years a lake was made by the solid constructions which were made from the coral reefs, after that Dahab became an oasis with a large lagoon. In the first it was just a small fishing village but after that it became the most important diving destination in Egypt. Dahab is situated in the southeast coast of the Sinai, it was occupied by Israel. It is already mentioned in the bible in Deutoromy 1:1 as "Dizahab", as one of the stations for the Israelite s during the Exodus from Egypt. The word Dahab means in Arabic "Gold" which referring to the color of the stones and sand beaches of Dahab. Most of Dahab's people are Bedouins. And it can be divided into three parts: Masbat: which includes the famous Bedouin village which called Asala and which located in the north south. Mashraba: it?s a touristic region and contains many resorts and different hotels Medina: Where Laguna the famous area located and its famous for the water sports specially the windsurfing |
