The children choir of Cairo Opera House consist of 250 boys and girls. The choir started in July 1989 under the supervision of Dr. Ratiba El Hefny in cooperation with maestro Selim Sahab.

The Choir shows traditional music and songs which is based on scientific and academic basis.

The children choir aims at developing the performance not only artistic performance but educational, social and national objectives in order to increase the awareness for the generation of children to be able to challenge social changes and also to develop the national identity.

The children choir of Cairo Opera House plays a great role in the best famous shows where it participated in the production of ?Carmen?, "La Boheme" and the Operetta "Sheherdzade" .
