History:
Ahmose II was the son and the successor of king Wahibre. His first task was to cool dow the Egyptians who were revolting against the Greeks, So he made the Egyptians the chiefs in the army and gathered all the Greek merchants in one city ( Nokratis ) which later became one of the most important trade centers in the world. He secured the east borders of Egypt by building many garrisons to protect Egypt from the Babylonians and captured Cyprus. He ruled for about 43 years which werte a quite flourishing period of the Egyptian history.His most important establishment was the Temple of Isis at Memphis. |
